Nice songs voiced by a fine singer

I first encountered Lee Seung Chul while watching the recent film "My Eleventh Mother". The central character of that movie is a fan of Lee's music and we get to hear a couple of his songs during the course of the film. Those songs sounded good to me so I decided to give this album a try. While many of the arrangements on this disk sound quite dated, most of the songs are sturdy, evergreen compositions and Lee Seung Chul's tenor voice is a very pleasant and surprisingly strong instrument. All in all, I find listening to this album to be a soothing and enjoyable experience. I recommend it. |
