Lee So-ra appeared from out of the blue in 1995 with her premier album Statement took music lovers by storm. She no doubt is one of Korea's most gifted female vocalists who is respected and admired by both her fans and musical peers. Now she returns to the limelight after a hiatus of 2 years to stun everybody with her passionate 6th album. On her latest musical effort she teamed-up with such heavy-weight music artists as Lee Han chul from Bulldog Mansion, Deli Spice's Kim Min kyu and Kang Hyun min from Loveholic. All of them made a tremendous effort to deliver a special treat whose artistic tracks clearly distinguish it from today's main-stream pop. Tears and Midnight Blue are contributions by Kang Hyun-min, while Star that features acoustic guitar sounds was written by Kim Min kyu. This is a CD that is a cut above other female vocalists. Lee So Ra has such a soft and lovely voice, and yet when power is needed, it's there. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, nerve-soothing album, this one is for you. I just wish that more of her albums were available. So many are "out of print and no longer available", a term that I'm finding more frustrating as time goes by. Do yourself a favor, if you're looking for gentle music in a world of hectic noise, get this beautiful album and enjoy an extraordinary vocal talent. God's Blessings! |
