LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (US Version) Nintendo DS

LucasArts brings gamers the sequel to the surprisingly popular LEGO Star Wars. Now gamers can fight side by side with LEGO versions of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and more in LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. The game contains levels based on all three Original Trilogy movies. Players start out with Luke Skywalker and an aged Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine, the place where Star Wars: A New Hope began, and follow the young Jedi knight through the destruction of the Death Star, the battle against Darth Vader, and the final showdown between Luke, Vader, and the Emperor.

Each of the three movies in the Original Trilogy has a number of levels devoted to them, sending players to battle through Tatooine, Endor, and the Death Star itself. Gamers can control any character in their party and swap between characters at any time. This is critical in order to reach some areas and defeat some enemies. Characters have personalized abilities and attacks: Luke's light saber is a great tool for opening new areas or defeating enemies up close, but long range attacks call for Han's blaster. There are over 60 different playable characters, from cultural icons like Luke, Leia and Darth Vader to fan favorites like Greedo, Jawas, and Gamorrean guards. In addition, players can also create unique characters like Yoda Kenobi and Lando Fortuna by mixing and matching the Lego body parts of all playable characters! Vehicles also feature prominently in the game, as does the ability to build items and vehicles from LEGO bricks. The touch screen and dual screens are also used heavily, adding a DS-inspired touch to the game. All of this combines to make LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy a game that any Star Wars fan will love.
