Everybody dreams of a perfect marriage, but the truth is perfect marriages don't exist. Shedding some light into the age-old fantasy is MBC's romantic comedy series Let's Get Married which was broadcast in 2005. Exploring the many bumps in marriage within modern day society, the story stars the beautiful Kang Sung Yeon (New Wise Mother, Good Wife) as a typical thirty-something old maid who finally manages to get hitched after years of withstanding the pressure imposed by her family. But life gets more complicated when the realities of marriage hit her. Playing her reckless and clueless husband is Yoon Da Hoon (Come Back, Soon Ae) who returns to television after two years of rest. Also joining the cast are Bae Soo Bin as the charming gynecologist (a major departure from his homosexual role in Jumong), Lee So Yeon as the foxy Ms. Know-It-All, and many high-caliber veteran actors such as Kim Yong Gun, Park Jung Soo, and Joo Hyun (The Fox Family).
Thirty-seven year old gold-digger Jae Won (Yoon Da Hoon) drives to a fancy restaurant hoping to strike it rich by nabbing a rich woman. With a zero balance in his savings and approaching forty, Jae Won is feeling the pressure to get married. Out of desperation, he signs up for a matchmaking service, but to increase his chance of success, he beefs up his profile by miles. Meanwhile, after experiencing a string of nightmarish dates set up by the same matchmaking agency, Na Young (Kang Sung Yeon) begins to wonder if she will ever find her perfect match. Just then, she gets another call from the agency - a new candidate. And why not! Thinking this will be her last time, Na Young heads out to the meeting place. Much to her surprise, the man turns out to be a dashing looking charmer - none other than Jae Won!
