This is a mandarin album by Sammi. I like the ballads the best. Her mandarin is not perfect, but her voice still sounds good.

Sammi is another singer that will give explosion. She sparkles whenever she is performing. However, her music pathway has been getting monotonous and frequent. Not to mention her dancing is lacking some energy compare to her early year. What is happening to the her and the Hong Kong music industry. There are so many kind of music in this world, i.e. Ballad (asian expertise), alternative, blues, R&B, rock, rap, gospel etc. In aother words, exploration has to be the prerequisite before any music production or recording. Many singers dwindle after a few years of glamour because they do not know the core of the music or the objective. Canto pop and Mandarin pop have stayed plateau in comparison to the western music because we do not explore enough. I am sure Sammi has a lot of potential but she needs to explore herself and understand the core and what is best for her. I used to see her improved but quality has degrade marginally. Commercialism, rushness, frequnecies of Hong Kong release will lead to "un-umph" album. Bjork, Radiohead, Adiemus, Cranberries, Tori Amos,Allanis, Oliver Shanti etc are all westerners and adventurers. I am sure we have the potential to make a name up on the list. We have so many fine musicians and singers and there is no excuse to let this happen.

There is no depth or contrast in any of Sammi's new songs. She has shown no improvement in her voice, and her vocal range has actually gone lower. Maybe it's because she's older now, but anyhoo, it seems like the only good thing about her music is the melodic tune. Thank goodness for her "theme songs" to movies, or else her music wouldn't be able to survive at the rate she's singing them! Sorry Sammi, but you need some singing lessons. And has anyone noticed how her "imitation-english-accented" chinese appears in some songs and not others? Sammi, stop trying to act like you're a "gwai-mui" when you're not.

i personally think most of the songs sounds WEIRD! they are not even music...they are NOISE!! the only one that is normal is track #2...i regret buying it!
