Think all the Korean soaps are about amnesia, tangled family relations, or Cinderellas? HeeKyung No is one of the writers who can prove you wrong, and this mini-series is by far her best work ever. As is always the case for No, there is no antagonist devised for a simple plot development. She has a gift of making both hard-to-find-in-real-life characters and more realistic ones equally come alive, having all the characters really grow on you. What they say to each other and to onself is, again like No's signature, completely poignant line by line. (Acting too is superbly done by all the cast.) Unarguably a breakthrough in Korean TV series, it will instatnly sweep away those who got sick of simplistic and shallow soap-making. Yes, "Lie" is almost too good to be true. |

Haven't seen this drama? This is a legendary drama. If you want to hear most wonderful Korean dialog, you should watch it. Their saying is soooooo beautiful. And if you want to watch very sad love story, then you should watch this. Because this helpless love between three is......so desperating. And for the last, if you think drama is always far from our reality, then depinately you should watch this! You will know what is called "sympathy". It's my favourite TV series!!!! |
