Life Made Simple is a spin-off of the insanely popular 2003 TVB series Square Pegs, with the period background changed to a contemporary setting. The winning formula is back, as are the main cast members, with Roger Kwok again playing Ah Wong, the big chump who is a little dumb, but always positive and optimistic. This time, Ah Wong has to deal with life without his childhood mate "Little Wife" (Jessica Hester Hsuan), and face competition for her heart from half-brother Chung (Bosco Wong) and Shing (Raymond Cho). This dramedy series not only won Roger Kwok his second Best Actor award, but also made a star out of Angela Tong Ying Ying, whose popularity skyrocketed overnight with the role of the homely Li Siu Ho. She then went on to win Best Supporting Actress at the 2005 TVB Anniversary Awards.

30-year old TING SHEUNG WONG (Kwok Chun On) only has the IQ of a seven-year-old boy. WONG KEI FUNG (Hsuan Jessica Hester) is his best friend from childhood. To help her realize her dream of studying overseas, he gives her all his savings. Born ugly, LEE SIU HO(Angela Tong) is a target of bully by the others. Unlike any of them, WONG always stands up for her and even takes teh initiative to make friends with her. WONG's mother TING SAU LIN (Lo Yuen Yan, Angelina), has found HO a job and wants to pair her off with his son. Ho then falls head over heels for WONG.

FUNG enters the CHUNGs Ltd after she has returned to Hong Kong. WONG follows suit. Unexpectedly, he meets his father, CHUNG KAM WING (Chun Pui), and half brother, CHUNG CHI CHUNG (Wong Chun Chak, Bosco), there. Later, FUNG falls in love with CHUNG. Th ings therefore become complicated. How would a simple mind handle it?
