I love the cover of this album
|
the cover is amazing so pretty(so was the cover of "lights") i notice both the covers have some kind of special effect "lights" was the blue in her mouth and "lights 2" was her ear is red this album is cool, but i think "lights" was somewhat better the best tracks are "knockin on the door of my heart"-good song but its a little slow moving, takes a whil tog et to the chorus "starting from here"-cool trance-ish song "transcontinental way"-an intrumental, reallly awome trance song "over the rainbow"-cool trance song, the only single from the album overall this album was goo i give it 9/10 i do think there should have been more singles thoug (knockin on the door of my heart, hitorigoto) |

Dance at it's finest.
| This is a must listen to all that love dance music, and Globe's best album to date. Even this is the least "dancy" of their albums, Keiko's extensive vocal range certainly makes up for this. All the tracks have an ethereal, mysterious ambience to them that is just divine, and the slower tracks actually allow it to be good chill-out music. Essential stuff. |

Absolutely DO NOT pass this one up
| This album is, quite honestly, my favorite album ever- period. Every song on this album is unique, and massively creative. It was billed as being an album to showcase Keiko's voice, and it certainly does that. Her execution is absolutely perfect through several trance-inspired tracks that have a certain dream-like quality. The best songs to hear this on this album are Knockin' On The Door Of My Heart, Starting From Here, and However, Marc isn't simply tossed to the side. His voice is also featured in this album, especially in Edge of Darkness and Liquid Panorama, two songs which have a somberly haunting quality to them. The entire album is well-produced, and it is obvious that a lot of time went into creating each song. This is especially clear in the lyrics, which all carry an air of maturity that some of Globe's work possibly lacked. In this regard, Hitorigoto stands out- especially in its bridge. And, of course, Tetsuya Komuro's arrangements leave nothing wanting. Transcontinental way is, quite possibly, his best instrumental arrangement on any Globe album. If you are even slightly considering getting this album, do not hestitate. There no way this album will leave you feeling anything less than awed at the talent and passion of Globe. |

Thumbs Way Up!!!
|
This sequence album shows globe still is one of the best group, i believe, in the world... TK makes trance in his style that can't be copied nor abused by other artists... TK shows the ability to improve his music album after album... And Keiko.... what can I say... her voice never gets old... she is the reason why globe is so perfect in every way... beautiful song, amazing production, and impressive vocal... and marc makes globe songs not boring... Lights2 is like a Godfather2... First one was great.... but then... you know what??? I like the second one even better than the first one... I really hope that globe makes music constantly as long as they could... |

A bit dissapointing
| I listened to "Lights" for a week and then decided to buy "Lights2" at the weekend. The first "Lights" was simply amazing, but I felt that the second album lacked the quality, substance, and most importantly, soul, that was very apparent in the first "Lights". While "Lights2" is a very good album, it just was missing an important factor that was obvious in the first "Lights". Even the band members were a little off. I felt that Keiko still did a wonderful job with vocals, though her breath support could have used a ::little:: work, Marc's rapping was a little off and his solo song did'nt have the same affect on me as "Come into Existence" did. But the star of this cd has to be the incredible TK. Every instrumental song by him was AMAZING and his talent really shows in both albums. All together, both Lights are amazing albums from one of the best bands in Japan, and these songs are either great to party to or to fall asleep to. |

It's great!
| The fun is not over yet. In the follow-up album, Globe really shows what they can do. The techno is great, and it's catchy, but not overwhelming. Overall, the melodies flow better than Lights 1. It has techno, piano, an organ, Keiko's pleasant vocals, rap, and dance-like pop. Almost all the songs are excellent! They have the usual deep attitudes and strange instruments. "Inspired from R&B" is enchanting. I can listen to it all the time. Those who liked Lights 1 will probably not be disappointed with Lights 2. Great buy! |
