Good
| A very good album. However, the first "Lights" was a bit better in my mind as it was more intense. This album has a more pop-like feel to it. In the end, both Lights CDs are really a set-and it probably makes sense to own them both. |

I think many Globe fans got scared when the album "Outernet" was released: Had the mighty Globe fallen at last? Nope. Not likely. What you have to admire about Globe is their diversity and creativity. Tetsuya is truly a legend and will go down in Japanese history--does anyone else have such an impressive resume? Highly unlikely. Anyhow, this CD shows the Globe is still capable of putting out some amazing songs. The only down part on this CD is that it is lacking some content--it needs more songs...it is as if Lights and Lights 2 should have been combined into 1 CD. Oh well.... The first song starts at Over the Rainbow, which is a very upbeat, pop-kind of tune and Keiko delivers vocally. Truly a beautiful song. The next few tracks that follow are very nicely done as well. This CD is a great CD in many ways, but you do get a sense that it is lacking something....you crave somehting more. You expect more....and hopefully on the next album, Globe will do just that--deliver a lot of new songs! Still, in the meantime, this is an album truly worth picking up. |
