A Beautiful Song
| This is such a moving, beautiful song. Even though I don't know Japanese, the lyrics are so touching and sorrowful. This makes me want to learn Japanese so I understand the lyrics. I reccomend this song for people who have never heard of Kuraki Mai's work because this song definetely got me into her music. |

Good effort...
| I've been reading mixed reviews so far...either you like it or you hate it, and some in between. I, personally, am a big fan of Mai Kuraki. I'll admit that this single isn't as good as some of her earlier releases, but I totally dig the ballad tunes. Some of you stated that this is just another boring song, and that she has no variety. However, I disagree...she typically has the pop/r&b style, but also some uptempo songs, such as Feel Fine! and Winter Bells. I really like the a capella version of Like a star in the night...quite pretty. I guess, my review is biased, since I've been such a big fan. Regardless, she's still a great artist...blessed with a talent to write music as well as a beautiful voice. |

Good Single
| This is a good single. "Like a star in the night" is so beautiful. Unless you don't like slow songs, otherwise, you will find it so nicely carried out by Mai. I don't like the attached song though but that ballad song is good enough for me to purchase this single. |

"Like a star in the night"
| Another new Mai K single! And it's another great single! The piano parts in "Like a star in the night" is so amazing!! It's so pretty!! It's true that kuraki mai's sales figure has gone down like someone said down below, but hey, EVERYONE's sales figures have gone way down too...that's because people now a days are copying CDs and all that...not because of the singer mind you. Anyway, the c/w "Give me one more chance" is just as good as "Like a star in the night". The middle part of "Give me one more chance" sounds so good...overall, this is a really nice single. And I would recommend everyone to check it out! |

I like her old songs better
| This song is BORING!!!!!! On top of that, this will prove to be her worst single ever (just look at the sales figure). Is giza giving up on her or what?? Why doesn't her company give her good songs nowadays?? I mean, all her singles released this year are bad. Give us songs equivalent to 2 years ago so we can actually enjoy listening to them. |

after reading this review, i wasn't quite sure whether or not you were dissing the people who stood up for mai k, or the mai k bashers. but after reading it i felt more like you were bashing what i said. i wrote the "you have no idea what your talking about" review. so, to reply to your review, if you actually read my review and understood it, you would of read that i clearly said EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN OPINIONS about music. which is why i said my own opinion about the person bashing mai. and to make things more clear, i only flamed off after i read the review. yes, i agree, that its stupid to go off like this in a site set up to purchase products, but hell, if someone's going to make a comment about Mai k that i don't agree with, damn right i'm going to get my two cents out of it. and damn right i took offense when i read people bashing mai K. i'm not going for it, and i'm going to bash back at them, cos its MY RIGHT AND OPINION to do so. so next time you want to write up a review and say that mai K fans are ignorant...don't go too far cos all you have to do is look in the mirror. there'll be one ignorant there just for you. |

well i don't care whoever list 100 reasons why chicken wing is not tasty or why red is not a good color. If they don't like just let them be. The world will be so boring if everybody love the same thing. Just take it easy guys =) Personally I like Mai's voice, and this single from Mai is good enough, however not something really suprising me. it's refreshing to listen to her to sing this kind of song tho =) |
