외톨이 소녀 릴로에게 인생은 커다란 도전이다. 하와이의 어린 소녀 릴로는 열아홉 살 된 언니 나니와 단둘이 산다. 같이 살지만 둘은 각자의 방식을 고집하며 자주 다툰다. 엄격하고 늘 표정이 굳어있는 사회복지사 코브라 버블스가 찾아올 때마다 둘은 항상 다투고 있다. 그러다보니 집안은 항상 아수라장. 코브라는 나니에게 앞으로 3일을 주겠다며 릴로를 보호할 수 있는 자격이 있는지 증명해보이라고 말한다. 3일 동안 달라지는게 없으면 릴로를 양부모에게 맡기겠다는 경고와 함께! 그날밤 릴로는 하늘에서 떨어지는 별똥별을 보며 소원을 빈다.
"하느님, 저에게 친구를 보내주세요. 저를 떼놓고 달아나지 않을 친구를 보내주세요. 혹시 가능하다면 저에게 천사를 보내주세요. 맘씨 착한 천사루요! 아셨죠?"
릴로가 본 별똥별은 실은 626호가 타고 있던 우주선이었다. 실험용 외계 생명체 626호는 투로 행성 출신. 사고뭉치에다 말썽꾸러기인 626호는 교도소로 끌려가다 도망쳤는데 그만 지구로 떨어진 것이었는데...

If you have kid at home, this is the movie where they will love & you wont fall asleep on it. Nicely done by Pixar/Disney, love the animation, love the story & you will fall in love with Elvis's music again. |
