A dowdy and unglamourous housewife whose goal in life is to serve her family and be a good mum ( sounds familiar??) finds out that her model pilot husband is having a serious adulterous affair with a beautiful young stewardess. In a confrontation with the mistress, the two women meet with a freak accident and have their souls switched. The fun starts here!! After the initial shock and denial from both sides, dowdy housewife suddenly discovers that she likes the new body( who wouldn't) and glamourous mistress, now trapped in an old body and dumped with "housewifely" responsibilities doesn't quite like her new role!! The husband is oblivious to the truth and hence lots of comical situations arise from this. Fun aside, the two women begin to understand each other better and in this process, become friends!! In the midst of all these, an old flame ( young, rich and good looking of course!!)of the stewardess arrives and inject some romantic tension into the drama. Great acting by all in the drama...enjoy !!

Eric Mun stars as a not so bright and not so talented young man who graduates from a third grade university. As he struggles to compete with his much more talented younger but egotistical brother, a series of events changes his life. He saves a little girl from an accident (by default) and is mistaken as a man of valour by the president. You've heard of the KGB , CIA and so forth...okay this is a story about the Korean Intelligence Department. A series of comical coincidences and misinterpretations by the Korean Secret Service sees Eric being conscripted into the top Security Agency of Korea. Then he is also mistaken as a commercial spy by a beautiful femme fatale whose real identity is a dangerous commercial spy working for apowerful organisation whose job is to jeopardise the South Korean Economy. Hilarious. Ridiculous...and good fun to watch.

December 8, 2006 Typical Korean Love StoryKim Rae Won plays a talented award winning producer who found fame in Australia. He is madly in love with Jung Ryeo Won who, inspite of parental objections,became his lived in girlfriend in Australia. In a tragic turn of events, Kim causes the death of Ryeo in a road accident. Devastated, Kim sinks into depression and seclusion. At the encouragement of a good friend, Kim returns to Korea to rekindle his movie career Just as he was hunting for filming locations in a remote mountainous region , he bumps into a country bumpkin who bears an uncanny resemblance to his dead girlfriend. The story actually begins with Kim falling in love with this country bumpkin who turns out to be the lost sister of his ex.girl friend.Convoluted, right? Well...then the story turns predictable. Third party interferences, parental objections follow as the country bumpkin gets reconciled with her real family. I felt that Jung Ryeo Won was trying too hard to act as a cutsy and innocent country bumpkin and often displayed overly exaggerated facial expression. Plus, the chemistry between the leads was not strong and maybe that is why, I felt this drama did not make such a strong impact as it was intended.

November 8, 2006 The best period drama!!Watched all three volumes of this great drama. I loved it even more than Jewel in the Palace. Great acting by everyone...kids, villians and wicked officials and all. Subtitles were bad but once you get the way they write the English...you pretty much can understand the story. Superb love story with lots of excitment. What more can I say. Satisfied totally.

October 23, 2006 A practical love storyAhn Jae Wook shines here as a cold,merciless hotel tycoon who slogs mindlessly to reign in the hotel industry. Having no time for frivolous things like love and leisure,.his single-minded pursuit of his career is interrupted only when he meets Lee Bo Young, an ordinary and simple girl whom he falls in love with. His nickname, Mr Goodbye, was given to him because of the practical and cold blooded manner in which he takes over and revamps hotels. It is literally...goodbye...to the hotels that he goes into. This drama portrays how Ahn Jae Wook's character slowly unthaws and learns about love, mercy and the little things that make life meaningful after he falls in love, discovers that he has son and that he has a serious heart condition. This is also a great love story with great chemistry between the leads. Ever the practical person that Ahn's character is, he does not pursue love in a mushy unrealistic way. His motto for their relationship is: If you have doubts,clarify. Do not doubt the other party. It wastes time and is unproductive. A great story...no evil conniving, memory loss and so forth. I must also mention that the little boy who plays his son is terrific and the father-son relationship is very touching. This drama is worth buying and I must say that it is one of the dramas that I have enjoyed out of Korea in 2006.

September 30, 2006 A touching tale of loveThis is another typical Korean drama based on the age old facourite theme about the frowned upon and socially unacceptable love between siblings. Gong Yoo and Yu Ri become siblings as kids due to the marriage of both their single parents. They become separated when both are adopted by different families after the death of their parents in an accident. However, their deep love and bond survives the years of separation. Yu Ri longs for the day that her brother would come back to fetch her. One Fine Day they are reunited and their deep love for each other becomes that strong attraction between that of lovers when Yu Ri realizes that Gong Yoo is not her real blood brother. They go through the usual struggle of guilt, hopelessness and rejection and objection by all. Nothing out of the blue except, of course, there is always a twist in the story about the real identity of Yu Ri and the real cause of their parents' death. The only difference in this drama is that here, Yu Ri is loved by three men, nearly raped by one and of course there is the usual love triangle and so forth. Great scenes shot in Sydney and great underwater shots in an aquarium ( Underwater World). There is good chemistry between the leads. Watch it if you can stomach the theme of the drama. I enjoyed it.

Then, the director skilfully leads us to discover the history of this strange relationship through flashbacks to their childhood days.I found the child stars utterly charming and the acting superb. The female lead in this story (Ka Ran) is nursing a broken heart because her childhood hero has become a priest. Nam Jun her protagonist is also nursing a broken heart over his lost childhood sweetheart. The two meet after many years and their love - hate relationship continues. They bicker and fight and eventually fall in love. As in all Korean drama, there is a third suitor in the form of a successful, kind and suave businessman who woos Ka Ran relentlessly. The drama is light hearted and mainly fun to watch. However, I felt that it was a little long- winded with all the bickering.

It does not kill your brain cells trying to solve some deep mystery although there is some suspense as to the real relationship between the two leads. The story is about two brothers of different mothers. One is suave and responsible, the other, a rascal. Of course both brothers fall for the same girl. But, there is no vindictive conniving, heart wrenching rivalry as is common in most love triangles. The two brothers grow to love Yin Su Lah in their own unique and heart warming ways. As the drama is filmed mainly in a beach resort and focus mainly on the daily lives of lifeguards, you get to see lots of scantily clad bodies and good looking young stars. Stress free viewing!

For me, I felt that the director was trying to make this into an arthouse type of drama. Melancholy,mood, music and so forth. Sometimes, it felt as if we were watching some kind of Rain MTV.!! The entire drama was a bit slow and draggy. The mood, dark and melancholic. Although the chemistry between Rain and the innocent female star was good, the struggle to unite in love seemed abit contrived. The vengeful bodyguard as played by Rain was moody and indecisive. I also thought that the ending was another attempt to make this drama into a creative arthouse fluff. Did not quite succeed for me. Too unrealistic in my opinion. Don't get me wrong though, I do love romance drama alot...but,this was just too slow for me. Watch it ...especially if you are a fan of any of the stars. I must admit though that Rain has improved in his acting and he looks good here.

I could not stop watching the drama simply because I wanted to find out why the male lead suddenly turned into another person and left the woman whom he loves. Lots of questions kept pounding in my head as I watched the drama. There was suspense, intrique and mystery. Enjoyed this drama and would recommend it to anyone who wants more meat out of there viewing genre other than fluffy silly romances.

July 4, 2006 Fairy TaleIndeed a fairy tale! It is unreal how an ordinary girl from a family of poor repute can get'ordained' as a princess based on the promise of the old King. Nevertheless, the unwilling bride falls in love with the equally unwilling prince who has been trained to serve the country from young. It is fun to watch the antics of the commoner princess amongst blue blood and equally endearing watching the sour faced prince unthawing and falling in love with the unrefined princess. Solid acting by the group of young good-looking stars. It is a love story set in modern times in ancient costumes. Funny, touching and entertaining.

June 30, 2006 Comedy plus RomanceThis was one of my favourites in late 2004/early 2005. It is funny, touching and romantic. It was like watching beauty taming the handsome but arrogant beast. Very satisfying indeed. Love both male and female leads. Very light hearted and enjoyable. A great way to de-stress without draining your emotions. Enjoy it.

June 30, 2006 Intense Love StoryThe story begins with almost instantaneous love, marriage and separation of the two leads. Then, that is where the drama really begins for me. You can almost touch /sense the tangible love and attraction Li Seo Jin has for Lee Eun Joo. The chemistry is wonderful although I thought her acting was a bit stiff at times. The pace is very fast at first but towards the end, it gets entangled in the typical third party jealousy mode. I thought that the show could be shortened slightly with a more decisive ending. But otherwise it was one of the better dramas which I watched lst year. Worth your time definetely.

June 30, 2006 Excellent story lineThis drama rivets you to the screen. The acting by the children especially the two young girls were outstanding. Watching them struggle to survive during the war brought many tears to my eyes. As the drama progresses, you become glued to the screen because you want to find out what happened to the children. They become almost a part of your lives. You begin to care for them. The acting of the adult actors of the four friends was also stellar. This drama opens your eyes to human nature...you begin to understand, though not condone, what makes people act in certain ways.In a way, you start to pity the characters who react out of fear of rejection. You grow to love the four friends like your own. This is a story of friendship, of love, of corporate rivalry and of forgiveness. The show also depicts the struggle between duty and doing what is right and expected of you versas doing what your heart desires. This is a drama that deserves more than a second look.

June 19, 2006 Dreams do come true!!This drama is fast paced, funny, romantic and touching. All teenagers and those who are young at heart will certainly enjoy this. Although a practical person will tell you that a seven year old will not fall in love, least of all remember any childhood promises made...the drama is still worth watching. Why? It is an amusing and romantic fairy tale. Lots of good looking and cute stars and of course,some comic relief added through charcters acted by Pu Hsieh Liang. If you enjoyed dramas like Devil Beside You and The Frog Prince, you will like this one.
