Every z chen's album has been a real pleasure...his voice is the best chinese singers i ever heard...it's strong, emotional, clear and stretchy (flows very well with r&b) but it improves even more after album by album...which is totally amazing... Most importantly, he dares to challenge different genres of music... for instance, in this album, he sang songs that are far apart just from being purely r&b or those typical slow love songs, instead, he challenged jazz songs(mo fei ding lu)and that fast unique song - cap girl... Lastly, one thing i find z chen different from other singers...is that his live performance is lively and natural...what i mean is that most singers just sing the song in the usual way(actually juz focusing on not goin out of tune) but zchen does not even have to worri about goin out of tune, and instead challenge himself to change the tune or lyrics...that is why i hope i could recprd all his live performance...it's fresh everytime...hehe |

I didn't discover Z Chen til in recent months wit' this CD coming out. Since then I've checked out both his older CDs, great talent. More proof that CPOP isn't all about looks. Check out his MVs too, they rock. |

The Real King of R&B is Back!
|
Wow...after about 8 months, ZChen is back with his new album. With his debut single 'Sleepless City' which was first released in Malaysia, I began to fall in love with his powerful vocals and his songs. He is the golden voice treasure of Malaysia. Then he proceeded to Taiwan and made a big hit there, with his first album there. His third album, 3 A.M. is my favourite up to now, with his strong vocals and clear pronunciation (not like Jay), you do not get bored listening again and again to his songs. I anticipate this 'Listen to Me' album to be a good one, hoping for more of his compositions in the album. Gampade..ZChen! |
