Feelings are sometimes best conveyed with letters. That's what a radio host believes in director Sanjo Shinichi's Listen to My Heart when she begins a new radio program to help carry the feelings of those who are unable to do so. Tokiwa Takako (20th Century Boys) stars as that radio host, who decides to help her listeners express feelings that they have difficulty expressing on their own by putting it on the airwaves. Filled with endearing characters and touching moments, Listen to My Heart tells a heartwarming story about the barriers that modern people have put between each other and the urgent need to communicate truthfully before it's too late. Listen to My Heart also co-stars Hayashi Kento (Parade) as the listener whose case inspires Mao to start the radio show.

Radio host Mao (Tokiwa Takako) became estranged from her father after a heated argument four years ago. After his death, she finds a letter by him in a drawer that expresses everything he felt about her. Later, she receives a letter from a high school student Naoki (Hayashi Kento) asking what he can do to make his grandfather smile once more. When Mao finds circumstances in Naoki's situation that parallels her relationship with her father, she decides to step in and help Naoki herself. During the process, Mao is inspired to dedicate an entire radio show that encourages people to express their feelings.
