July 8, 2006 Real Value for MoneyI'm a big fan on TVXQ, not a crazy one, but a fan anyway! This ones for the fans (or almost fans). It seemed like you'd be getting alot with this at a decent price so I bought it - and I wasn't wrong!! It was better than I thought, the packaging was really nice and pure quality. The content was also good, and even better, the DVDs have english subtitles, but no english subtitles on the music videos :( Karaoke function is good... if you can read korean -_- but i personally rather listen to their voices when watching the MVs. The first disc contains ALL their korean music videos up to Beautiful Life. They also have their comeback performances from InkiGayo. The second disc has the member interviews and an interesting tour around their home - its really nice!! And the 3rd disc has behind the scenes footage. I advise you not to watch all at once cos it is tiring!! And you also get a book and postcards. But to wrap it up, its value and a must for the fans. Did you find this review helpful? July 8, 2006 Funky, but not all qualityGirls on Top is on-par with her previous 4 main albums (except I didnt like My Name) - in that like most albums, not just BoA's, have some really good tracks (mostly the singles), some ok ones... and some u just can't listen to. Hardcore fans will learn to love them all (i think) but since I'm not, I have to say this album aint that good, but then again aint that bad either. I like the new style of music, its funky!! SS 501 2nd Single
July 8, 2006 GoodIf you like boybands, I recommend SS501. Although I dont know much about these guys, these are real performers and can sing live. Like TVXQ, they can sing well, dance and are cute too!
OK about this single, I personally like all but the first track. I'm no longer a teen, and not too fond of the song Snow Prince either, as its abit 'cutesy' and 'immature' for me, but nethertheless catchy and will surely appeal to the youngsters. Fighter is upbeat, catchy and is the song and performance that got me to notice SS501. My Girl and In Your Smile are nice slow songs.
Even though is a single, its still a good CD, (with only 5 tracks, 4 of them are good to me) and worth the money if you like pop. Because with albums, usually most songs are just fillers. The songs are slower than I thought they'd be, mostly pop ballads. But I like this album because I all the songs are listenable. The only upbeat songs on this album are Tri-angle and The Way You Are. I'm not so fond of those songs, maybe because I was put off by their appearence when performing these!!
Miduhyo (track 1) is a VERY nice R&B ballad. Thanks To, another slowish song, is also one of my favourites. I love watching them perform these songs because they sing them with passion. July 5, 2006 One word - WEIRD - but good!Overall, I think this album has variety and sounds different... as in weird different. Its one of those albums that has to grow on you. I loved certain tracks but the album as a whole - it took me a while to get used to, but its one of my favourite ShinHwa albums now. ^-^ Usually I listen to certain tracks from each album, but with Brand New, I can listen to it all (minus a couple tracks that arent my cup of tea). So I give it a 8/10.
My favourite tracks are Liar (Eric's R&B song with Dongwan singing), Together Forever (nice slow song), Angel (mid-temp song), and of course Brand New (really energetic song). Found Oh! annoying at first, but love it now! (Note: the remix of Oh! on the Summer album is better.) The other songs are ok too, mostly catchy.
Not so fond of Shooting Star and U - I dont like these songs much cos it sounds a bit too cheesy for Shinhwa's 7th. I was disappointed that they used Shooting Star for their comeback performances.
With this album (I bought the Korean version) you get a mini photo booklet!!! Its about the same size as a standard sized CD case, almost as thick. Its printed on good quality paper and has NICE pictures of the guys - a lovely bonus.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

In the Sky is also a nice slow song, and these 2 songs alone were enough for me to buy this album, as i previously didnt know much about this group nor heard much of their music. I'm glad i managed to catch them in their 7th jib, as they wont be around for at least another 3 years. As you can see, this album doesnt come in the typical jewel case, instead its in a nice book-like thing... a perk for owning this album. It also come with a comic.. but i cant read korean.

January 1, 2006 Excellent!!!I have to say that this album is great, I've been waiting for its release for a long while and I just knew it'd be good, though i was curious to see how they'd top their 4th. I wasnt disappointed at all. Their comeback performance was awesome too. At first, the album took a little getting used to, because I was used to their 4th which is alot catchier and bouncier than their 5th. Overall, the album is more hiphop, and has less of the poppy-ness that 1TYM's previous songs had (which is expected since artists music is supposed to mature!), but still groovy and the quality is of course still there!! I admire Teddy for his talent. I love the R&B melodies of Can't Let U Go and How Many Times. Take It Slow is also a nice R&B song (I love Danny's voice). SuperFunk (by bak-kyung) is upbeat and catchy. If you already like 1TYMs music you should definately buy this. Although I thought it odd at first, I grew to like it alot, especially after reading the translations. It's one of my favourites. Overdoze is an upbeat catchy song, alot of his songs from his 2nd album sound like this. Un-touch-able acoustic version is REALLY good! I was really suprised about how much i love this song. If you love ballads, this is 4 u. I personally think it sounds better than the original version (from 1st album). And the instrumental version is nice too, especially if you love piano music! The If You remix was a bit weird, but ok, though nothing special to me.
Overall this is a good CD, because it has variety: slow R&B, R&B/pop dance and a ballad!! I am honestly suprised this CD is good cos I didnt like his 1st album that much. And the booklet pictures are cute too!! ^-^Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

Ayu's debut, this album is easy to listen to. Her vocals arent as good as she is now but its not a problem, her voice still sounds nice. My favourite is "A Song for XX", not only does it sound nice but I can personally relate to the feeling this song illustrates. My other favourites are "YOU" and "Trust". September 19, 2005 TVXQ are so cute!!Yup, this book has 196 pages!! All I do is look at the pictures cos I cant read Korean but is still worth it! Its has pix of what they were up to in summer 2004... like a photo diary. The book is quite small in size, like the size of a CD but taller... cos it houses 2 discs: the 2nd single and a VCD. ValueI didnt know what to expext when buying this but it seemed the best bargain (with all the music videos included and all) and it is (coz i eventually bought all the others too)! What can i say, this is VALUE. You get a book (only has several leaves) about A4 size and it has pictures and lots of writing... I dont understand Korean, and my Chinese and Japanese suck... why couldnt English translations be included aswell? I mean, the whole world knows English, is that not the common language? Maybe its good that I cant read it, there had alot of hype over the content and I rather forget about it. Anyway, besides that, the pictures are nice to look at, hehe.
With this storybook, you get a VCD of their music videos and more, real treat. And the Triangle album! As if it wasnt already worth your $$$, you also get 6 posters: 5 double-sided individual ones (nice!) and a giant group 1 (of that pic)! You also get lots of stickers... and this round thing I dont have a clue what it is. Its just a record disc shaped piece of card that has group pictures on both sides, and has a tiny hole... to hang up maybe?

September 19, 2005 Dont Stop ListeningThis album is by far their best (can't wait for their 5th to come out though!). I love 'Without You', a well composed R&B ballad. The tune is instantly attractive and Danny can sing the high notes really well. I also love the catchy song 'Hot Ddeuguh', its bouncy and groovy and has funny lyrics!! I was quite new to the Korean music scene and those 2 songs alone got me hooked to 1TYM. Now I see why they are popular and successful. I also heard that they make their own music, I was impressed by that because those 2 songs are top quality.
So I bought the album and I was really amazed that ALL, yes, EVERY SINGLE TRACK on it is EXCELLENT!! Interludes and songs - its all good. 'Uh Oh' is bouncy, 'Lets Go' has a real nice beat... actually i cant even describe the tracks... you just gotta listen to them!!
I've been listening to this album quite frequently for several months now and I'm still nowhere near sick of it. It really lifts my mood and can make you dance. 1TYM are really talented guys, be it rapping, singing or composing. Their music is the quality and I cant fault them at all... except their music makes cheesy pop sound weird... but I'm getting used to it! If you're not sure whether to buy this album, a lil advice: buy it!! No need to hesitate, its well worth it and you wont be let down. Their music is cool!!Did you find this review helpful?
