In 2008, Japanese rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel went on a massive TOUR 2008 L'7 ~Trans ASIA via PARIS~ playing in Shanghai, Taipei, Paris, Seoul, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Osaka, attracting as many as 300,000 concertgoers. This DVD is the complete recording of the Paris concert held on May 9. As the band has announced a live show hiatus until their 20th anniversary in 2011, this is the best opportunity for fans to enjoy L'Arc-en-Ciel's live performance!

I just watched this DVD two days ago. This is a very short concert. So, a deduction on the score. Secondly, Hyde was slightly out of tune in a few of the tracks. But I just love him! He did not disappoint like he was in the Club Circuit 2000 Real Live Concert with the beginning track, Get Out From The Shell, but still not perfect because he was slightly out of tune in the middle of the track. The track that I think he did excellently was 花葬, from their Ray album. It is also my favorite from their 1999 Grand Cross Conclusion Concert (Japan Version). Ken had a little accident during the concert, but he was okay. Overall, L'Arc~en~Ciel performed reasonably well. They still got it after all those years, even though they are maturing. They are however, each musically talented, full of charisma and I just love them regardless! :) The packaging of this DVD is very pretty. It has a gold color slipped on case, similar to TVXQ's 'O' concert DVD case, but much thicker in construction. P.S. I wish Kioon Records will release a DVD+CD publication of the track, Alone En La Vida that L'Arc~en~Ciel performed while in Paris. |
