This customer review refers to Los Angeles (Japan Version)
a must-have cd for every JPOP fan Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This 3rd album CD released by The Brilliant Green (my favorite group!) earned them a spot on Time Magazine's "Music Goes Global" Issue in 2001. If you've never heard of them before, I suggest you grab it. It's only $25 or so and I can assure you, you won't be disappointed. It's got 11 tracks of good music. GOOD music. "Angel Song", "Hello Another Way" & "Falling Star in Your Eyes" would have to be my favorite tracks. An excellent cd to listen to while driving or studying.

The sugar you like, without the guilt... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Los Angeles, the third album by the Brilliant Green, finds the quintessential Japanese power popsters at the top of their game. While the first two albums were catchy but derivative, it was never clear whether the band had what it takes to make a really great record. Well, they do, and the proof is in Los Angeles. Featuring the charming vocals, sweet hooks, heavy/light guitars, and powerful rhythm section of the first two full-length releases, Los Angeles also showcases a maturity and confidence that wasn't present in the past. The band has definitely found their own sound, and while they don't have anything profound to say, who really needs it? This is pure, unadulterated power pop. No message. No saccharine. Just 100% sweet sugar.

excellent!! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I think that this is by far the brilliant green's most rock-y album, not so many pop tracks, but that doesn't matter, it's is really great. "The lucky star" reinforces my point about the rock sound. Buy it. Now.

Great Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
The Brilliant Green never seems to be a disappointment. They have such good music. This album is their first complete Japanese album. The tracks are excellent especially "hello another way" and "angel song-ivu no kane". They are my favorite Japanese band.

Great album Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Well, I recently lived in Obihiro, Hokkaido and while I was there I discovered a great band that no one seemed to know too much about: The Brilliant Green. I ended up purchasing the "Los Angeles" album, and I must say that every track is fabulous. The musical styles vary from 60s psychedelic in "Falling Star in Your Eyes" to a sort of punk/alt feel in the instrumental "Los Angeles". Tomoko Kawase's vocals are truly beautiful, and this album will blow your mind. Buy it today!!!

This band is my fav from Japan. Just about every song is good. I would just buy this album though, the others are just as good if not better! There is only one problem. I don't like Elmo.
