Jiang Shan Feng Yu Qing is another TV epic by Chen Jialin after the widely acclaimed The Kangxi Dynasty! The series unfolds the power struggles by blood and iron among then Ming Emperor Congzheng, rising peasant leader Li Zicheng, and Manchu ruler Abahai. The series narrates historical events through grandiose scenes and with experienced actors, including the appearance of Chen Tao Ming (Infernal Affairs III) as Congzheng's father.
Jiang Shan Feng Yu Qing gives an account of the dynastic changes from Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty during the 17th Century. Emperor Congzheng came to throne and he would like to revive the Ming Empire, but there was little he could do it from falling part. On the northern front, Manchu ruler Abahai took advantage of the weakness of the Ming Dynasty and prepared to attack this dying empire. Within the Ming Empire, Li Zicheng and his peasant forces were about to overthrow Emperor Congzheng...
