YesAsia Editorial Description

Wong Jing wrote, produced, and directed Love Generation Hong Kong, a star-studded romantic comedy loosely based on the wildly popular Japanese TV drama, Love Generation. Leon Lai stars as Bill Kei, a wealthy tycoon who's dating cute/sexy actress Joey (Shu Qi), but still remembers former girlfriend Maggie (Carina Lau) who supported him through his lean years. When Maggie reenters his life, Bill seems resolved to reunited with her - a tough prospect since she's currently dating Wo Ping (Mark Cheng), a top triad boss! Who will he choose: Joey or Maggie? And what of Moon (gorgeous model Ann Lee), his loyal personal assistant? Moon has stood by Bill since his early days with Maggie, and hides a devastatingly beautiful face behind an unflattering pair of glasses. Will Bill discover that before it's too late? Director Wong Jing loads Love Generation Hong Kong with cool urban settings, winning situation comedy, and attractive, heart-tugging romance.

not bad at all Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
Leon not only looks good here, he also acts well. Funny thing is none of the three girls speak perfect Cantonese. Lee is very pretty. Her dubbed voice is soothing too, unlike the other two female leads. Leon always mumbles, thus when he and Shu Ki are together, you'll have a hard job in understanding them. The film tried very hard to be witty. It is light hearted and I am happy with the ending.

another leon movie Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
love generation hong kong is star leon lai with 3 ladies who are all in love with him at different times and for different reasons. the first is carina lau. she is leon's girlfriend. leon is often working hard at the office and interested in economics. at the lunch break he is seem reading economic books and studying hard. carina sells make-up and other products at a local store. she keeps wanting to save money but her family keeps hitting her up for money. one rainy evening she breaks up with leon. she sets him free for him to be able to make it big in the market. a few years later he makes it big and has a movie star girlfriend shu qi. shu qi is obnoxious and nauseating in this movie. cannot stand her at all. she got into a silly make-no-sense fight with leon and left him stranded in the streets of Tokyo with no money and no shirt (he is only wearing his tank under shirt). there is where he runs into carina by fate. she treats him to a bowl of noodles thinking he has no money and has not changed. she is now dating a triad guy and is loaded. leon has a secretary lee ann (moon) dizzily in love with him but he don't notice her. she is his best friend's (mark liu) little sister.

the movie is good in the beginning. the middle it drag. i hate the part when leon and carina's triad boyfriend get into a challenge game with soccer and the other challenge with using words to fight at a hotel room, i think it was a hotel room. those parts are boring as hell and drag to the mud. the ending was so-so. not leon's best movie.

Not worth it Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
It simply doesn't make sense that in the end, Leon Lai falls for his secretary. Not much connection/relationship has been built between Leon and his secretary, except for the fact that the secretary (Leon's best friend's sister) loves Leon so much.

This is an awesome movie. Romantic, Silly Comedy a Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I watched this movie because I am a Leon Lai fan. His music was awesome.

Carina Lau and Leon are lovers at the start. Leon is a geeky office worker trying to make a living and trying to get successful. Carina believes that their relationship is maybe not going in the right direction and believing that she is holding Leon back from his real success, Breaks up with him.

5 years or sometime later, Leon is now a Successful maverick businessman dating Shu Qi(a Japanese pop idol) and is blissfully unaware that his beautiful secretary Moon is in love with him. After a funny fight with Shu Qi in the middle of Tokyo. He rans into Carina with no money & no clothes. Carina mistaken Leon for still being a struggling office worker. Believing this chance meeting to be fate, he goes about trying to get Carina back from a reformed Triad boss.
