After Marriage With A Fool, director Yip Lim Sum teams up Alex Fong and Stephy Tang again in Love Is Not All Around, another film that explores love relationships in the 21st century and offers many resonances for nowadays youngsters. The film became Hong Kong's box-office winner by grossing over 10 million, setting a record for local productions in 2007. An experienced screenplay writer, Yip Lim Sum proves his ability in storytelling and interweaves the love stories of the six characters to reveal what love means to young people in the metropolitan Hong Kong.

The movie co-stars TVB actress Linda Chung in her silver screen debut, DJ Sammy, Miki Yeung who, like Stpehy Tang, is also from Cookies, and singer Hins Cheung. Stephy Tang takes center stage in Love Is Not All Around as Bo, a gorgeous girl who has plenty of guys to fall for her. She comes across her ex-boyfriend Ryan (Alex Fong) who got dumped by her three years ago. Apparently Ryan still loves Bo, but Bo remains haunted by a series of misfortune happenings, which she suspected to be part of Ryan's vengeance plan, after she broke up with him and started with another guy. Meanwhile, her friend Wing's (DJ Sammy) cheating on his wife (Linda Chung) also bothers her...

Pop singers Alex Fong and Stephy Tang reunite in this unofficial sequel to their last romantic comedy hit MARRIAGE WITH A FOOL. Bo (Tang) is trying to help her childhood friends untangle their problems in love. Making matters worse is the reappearance of Bo's ex-boyfriend Alex (Fong), whom Bo manipulated for her own advantages before breakign up with him. Misunderstandings ensue as Bo attributed several pranks to Alex as his way of revenge, not knowing that Alex still has the hearts for her.

I'd heard many mixed reviews about this movie.Some said it was great,funny,and realistic while others think it was boring and too predictable.Well, IMO I actually found it quite entertaining.The plot was so-so,not all that great but the casts was fantastic even Linda Chung did pretty good.And the ending have a nice twist to it make you go "WTH" not those "live together happily ever after." that you often sees in movies.

Great movie - Great "romantic/comedy movie director" (marriage with a fool), he`s a genius! (in my opinion)
From the begining to the end you don`t want to leave the movie until it`s finished, that`s a director! Funny, "exciting" and sentimental, and i didn`t shed any tears this time!!!, even though there was some sentimental parts.

Definetely a must see movie, 4 3/4

 Shines in the last half hour! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Firstly, this is definitely a younger audience's movie and although an interesting snap shot of modern romance HK style, it is really more for that demographics eyes only. Certainly for a more female audience. Still, this film certainly features a good bright young cast and with all the high octane energy in romance you would expect. Speed dating, girl talk, slapped faces (lots of red cheeks here) and some embarrassing moments in chemists. Plot wise, its all about a charade of romantic events about misconceived affairs and jealousies with 6 young people constantly finding their relationships becoming ever complicated after Wing (DJ Sammy) is spotted by Bo (Stephy Tang) seemingly having an affair with another girl. The script is routed in a solid soap opera format and could almost be a miniature version of a 16 part drama series. The pacing is very fast as all the main characters zip in and out of each other's complicated romantic lives as swift as some of the speed dating Bo gets involved in earlier in the film. I can only image that this is a reflection of the speed of HK life in the city.

On the outset this movie will seem like the archetypal 'chick flick' and for the first two thirds the way in - it is, but as the third part kicks in this film begins to hold its own as the acting shines and the revelations of all the perceived affairs fall into place, elevating it to a more respected and recommended level above similar films of its type. Acting is pretty good in this especially from Linda Chung (Sun) and Stephy Tang (Bo), but overall the entire cast all fit into place here and I can imagine firm favorites with the demographics. Its a good film (I was a bit unsure until the last half hour or so) and ends up becoming an interesting message about teen life and dating in general and should feel refreshing than the usual. The ending is satisfying although a wee but cynical around the edges, but with a decent turn towards melodrama. Surly, though, not all HK relationships are this complicated.....are they?

If you would like the extras to this movie, though, I would recommend getting the 2 disk set as this single DVD issue only features 3 music videos additional to the film. Recommended for those who love HK teen romances, TV drama romances and are within the years of youth.
