Simply and punchy Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Like with Love Punch, a lot of the songs on this album were from Ai's portfolio of music written before she became famous. For this reason, don't expect a growth in maturity since Love Punch. The songs are equally as fun as on the previous album and there are the beautiful ballads aswell. In a lot of ways it does just sound like a perfect sequal, varying very little from it's older sister, and yet sounding fresh throughout.

Honestly speaking, this album probably doesn't have as many gems as Love Punch, but there's still plenty none-the-less. Mousou Chop is a fantastically daring and fun song and Pon Pon is a lovely piece of silly fun. Happy Days manages to be well written, catchy and completely insane at the same time and there is the usual wealth of ballads. The production here is at a level of sharpness only equaled by Love Piece and is completely perfect to carry Ai's voice and the songs from start to finish and also makes the reply value of the CD top notch.

In all honesty, if you loved Love Punch, it's hard to see how you could be too dissapointed. However, if you are a fan of the later works, this is about as far as you could get from what you probably want to hear as Ai has very much abandoned this sound of recent for a more subtle approach.

This is a joyful wonderful piece of intelligent pop that I would recommend to anyone.

Quality album Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This album is simply amazing. Highly recommended over LOVE PUNCH. Though for people who only like Kingyo Hanabi or Daisuki da yo you'll be disappointed for sure. This album is nothing like these 2 tracks, it is filled with very different sounds such as techno and rock. You must really appreciate Ai's voice and her crazyness to like the album, if you're only a "casual fan" you may not like it.

Decent Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I love this album, but probabably not as much as LOVE PUNCH. If you're new to Ai, then listen to LOVE PUNCH first. This album has some pretty goods singles, but the album songs are not as catchy. I personally dislike the booklet too. Overall this is an excellent album with no fillers. The non-catchy stuff will eventually grow on you as you listen.

A little worse than the first album Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
A little disapointment after the first album. The single songs are great, but most of the new ones aren't that good. Plus the cover is hideous! And the booklet is very boring... if You are looking for a good Ai cd to start Your Ai collection with - go with LOVE PUNCH!

Ai's Second Album a great hit! Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This is Ai Otsuka's second album and I thought it was even better than the first. The songs sound quite different from each other. Some songs are slow ballads like Kingyo Hanabi which is foreveer addicting (my favourite song) and then there are fast songs like Happy Days which is a VERY catchy song you wont be able to get out of your head. The bonus DVD is even better. You get to watch a mini movie that stars Ai herself. The mini movie was fantastic and kept my eyes glued to the screen. Im really into sad movies so I really liked it. On the dvd you also get to view LOVE'S STORY which features the cutest animated characters you will ever see.

Worth it! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
LOVE JAM has not only managed to pick up JPop where it was last left before the ballad craze, it has expanded on the genre making one refreshing, unique album.
Otsuka definately has alot to offer, she not only performs all of her songs but she also writes and provides piano accompaniment for all of her songs; a rarity in music now-a-days. Whether it's the upbeat JRock/JPop stylings seen in 'Superman' and 'Happy Days' or the refined ballads like 'Daisuki da yo/I Really Love You' or 'Kingyo Hanabi/Goldfish Fireworks' Otsuka Ai shines in her rightful place... on the way to stardom.
With rock/pop songs that leave you feeling warm and optimistic, and ballads so personal it feels like they were written for you, LOVE JAM is definately worth every penny!

An honest review... Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
All things considered, it looks like the fans are caught up in a love-hate complex. The first song "Superman" is totally J-Rock- really heavy sound with a trademarkedly Tokyo-ish melody. Her style of singing on it, however, is unique for the song. The rest of 'em are ballads, believe it or not. Actually, there are two more rockers, "Happy Day" and "Pongpong," but these are wacky and fast scramblers, not as deliberate as "Superman." Oddly, the ballads are dynamic enough, however, to keep you coming back! Although this album has a totally pop overtone to it, they were all done with acoustic instruments, although this is never uncommon with J-Pop/Rock. "Daisukidayo" has a very audible upright bass going on. I'm not sure if these were written by writers or Ai herself, but they were written well. They won't have an impact at first, but gradually.

Great Album Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This is the first album I picked up by Ai Otsuka. When I first heard her music, it was a mix of rock, pop, slow, etc. Ai voice is cute and the way she makes her voice fit in the style of the music is great. She makes her voice sound different from cute, rock-ish, etc. The cover might be a little weird but never judge the CD by it's cover. This is a great CD and you won't regret it!

I LOVE THIS ALBUM! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
i think this album deserves a 9.5 XD ai can sing well and has a really cute voice! her compositions are so nice, especially kingyo hanabi and daisuki da yo! she has so much charisma and everytime i see her i fall in love with her again! she writes deep, touching lyrics that make one think. love jam has been in my cd player for 2 months now and i still listen to it at least once a day! the only drawback is that the cd is a little on the shorter side. other than that it is perfect =D

Cute Album :) Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a wonderful album. Otsuka Ai's songs are so original, which is why they are so enjoyable. Her voice is also so adorable! I think that if you haven't listened to Otsuka Ai or this album, you should definately give it a try. She's a really good singer.
