Simply and punchy Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Like with Love Punch, a lot of the songs on this album were from Ai's portfolio of music written before she became famous. For this reason, don't expect a growth in maturity since Love Punch. The songs are equally as fun as on the previous album and there are the beautiful ballads aswell. In a lot of ways it does just sound like a perfect sequal, varying very little from it's older sister, and yet sounding fresh throughout.

Honestly speaking, this album probably doesn't have as many gems as Love Punch, but there's still plenty none-the-less. Mousou Chop is a fantastically daring and fun song and Pon Pon is a lovely piece of silly fun. Happy Days manages to be well written, catchy and completely insane at the same time and there is the usual wealth of ballads. The production here is at a level of sharpness only equaled by Love Piece and is completely perfect to carry Ai's voice and the songs from start to finish and also makes the reply value of the CD top notch.

In all honesty, if you loved Love Punch, it's hard to see how you could be too dissapointed. However, if you are a fan of the later works, this is about as far as you could get from what you probably want to hear as Ai has very much abandoned this sound of recent for a more subtle approach.

This is a joyful wonderful piece of intelligent pop that I would recommend to anyone.

Quality album Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This album is simply amazing. Highly recommended over LOVE PUNCH. Though for people who only like Kingyo Hanabi or Daisuki da yo you'll be disappointed for sure. This album is nothing like these 2 tracks, it is filled with very different sounds such as techno and rock. You must really appreciate Ai's voice and her crazyness to like the album, if you're only a "casual fan" you may not like it.

An honest review... Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
All things considered, it looks like the fans are caught up in a love-hate complex. The first song "Superman" is totally J-Rock- really heavy sound with a trademarkedly Tokyo-ish melody. Her style of singing on it, however, is unique for the song. The rest of 'em are ballads, believe it or not. Actually, there are two more rockers, "Happy Day" and "Pongpong," but these are wacky and fast scramblers, not as deliberate as "Superman." Oddly, the ballads are dynamic enough, however, to keep you coming back! Although this album has a totally pop overtone to it, they were all done with acoustic instruments, although this is never uncommon with J-Pop/Rock. "Daisukidayo" has a very audible upright bass going on. I'm not sure if these were written by writers or Ai herself, but they were written well. They won't have an impact at first, but gradually.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
i think this album deserves a 9.5 XD ai can sing well and has a really cute voice! her compositions are so nice, especially kingyo hanabi and daisuki da yo! she has so much charisma and everytime i see her i fall in love with her again! she writes deep, touching lyrics that make one think. love jam has been in my cd player for 2 months now and i still listen to it at least once a day! the only drawback is that the cd is a little on the shorter side. other than that it is perfect =D

Cute Album :) Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a wonderful album. Otsuka Ai's songs are so original, which is why they are so enjoyable. Her voice is also so adorable! I think that if you haven't listened to Otsuka Ai or this album, you should definately give it a try. She's a really good singer.

Impressive sophomore album! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I wasn't an Ai fan because somehow Sakuranbo didn't catch my attention (I sort of agreed that Ai's voice is cutesy, anime-ish, and I actually thought she used to be with Morning Musume!!!). Ai is actually an accomplished singer, songwriter, and.... comic artist?!?! hehe...

I picked up this album on impulse. It was because the version I bought had the 80-page picture book seem to be more interesting than the version with bonus dvd. The picture book is funny, and good value.

Love Jam impresssed me from the first track, Super Man, quite catchy, and cute. Happy Days (2nd Track) is even better, I didn't even know it was a single (#3 on Oricon Chart). Beautiful ballad singles of Daisukidayo - track 4 (#3) and Kingyo Hanabi - track 9 (also #3!) are my favourite ballads of the moment. I have to sing them the next time I go to a karaoke bar!! :P

Other good songs (IMHO) are: Pon Pon (Track 7), Futatsu Hoshi Kinenbi (Track 8), Kuroge Wagyu Joshio Tanyaki 735 Yen (Track 10), and Friends (Track 11).

more of her emerging from this album Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
i think ai's music was never really made for the commercialised market except maybe for a few tracks which were easy on the ears and appealed to the masses. her 1st album was a safe hit and this album we can clearly see more of her style emerging as she is given more power to decide what goes and what doesn't in her album. she is the producer this time...
still we have the ballady track like daisuki dayo and kingyo hanabi, i like tracks 3 5 and , her album is fun to listen to as u dun really know what to expect, tracks 6 & 7 would never have been allowed in mainstream idolish albums...( i didn't really know what was going on in her mind...)
to me its not really anime stuff but really she puts in whatever is fun to her, a creative bunch of thoughts. track 10 has really funny lyrics about her in the shoes of a beef tongue(a japanese delicacy) but manages to sing it in the way of a ballad...i like track 5, some sort of silent despair and loneliness, touching in its own way...track 3 is sweet but natural( maybe its her own story)
after all she started out as an indie artist and i am quite glad to say she has managed to maintain what she likes to do in her music rather than whole-sail following music trends.

...! Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
If you're a fan of Otsuka Ai's singles, you'll probably be pretty disappointed by this album. Although she has a pretty voice and a lot of emotions, she only uses them for these hyper, completely unserious songs. Even for the songs that I
love from this album, I can take them only half as seriously as BoA or Ayumi Hamasaki. In fact, track 6 reminds me of a child's version of everywhere nowhere. Buy it if you like anime music, but otherwise, buy Tenryuu by Amano Tsukiko or Mitsu by Shibasaki Kou instead.

TOP NOTCH MUSIC Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Ai Otsuki is very talented in terms of singing and songwriting. She writes and composes most of her songs and her voice is one of the best i've heard.

And without a doubt this album will be worth buying.

Her voice has a meledious quality in it which can help listeners relax
