i'm someone who loves a good romantic story with beautiful scenert and great chemistry.i watch dramas all the time with romance and sadness and all that great stuff. i loved mars and devil beside you but i didnt enjoy this very much..i liked it a little at first but after not even half way i got bored with it..i dont get how everyone else loves it so much. also the ending was too cheesy and unrealisticly stupid...dont expect too much from this drama because it's definitely not worth watching...trust me.

It is just one of the best series I have ever watched and is most enjoyable.It is (in my opinion) a must buy. The series holds a mixture of love, sadness and happiness as well . It also has a amazing soundtrack full of meaningfull songs. Love of The Aegean Sea is a heart-warming show. I must say it is absolutely a beautiful story. I can say that you won't regret it .

I enjoyed watching this film especially the beautiful scenery in Greece and Shanghai. They're fantastic. The story is nice and touching except for the last part. Chae Rim boyfriend was killed. I feel so sorry for their relationships. Both of them deserves to be happy after so many trials. Lesson to be learned here were don't played around with someone's feeling and don't give false hope because this may backfire. But overall, its worth watching.

Like other reviewers have mentioned, this film really drags (44 episodes), I almost fall asleep watching the movie. I like the scenaries: Greece, but the story does not impressed me, boring
and "bad" ending. I bought this set because of Chae Rim. She is a great actress (beautiful and elegant). If you like her, try "All About Eve", she had an outstanding performance with Korean super handsome actor Jang Dong Gun.

This movie is very good movie. I recommended this movie to anyone who love alec and chae...... i cry throughout the whole movie. i love both of the characters so much.... i wath over and over can't stop watching this movie... i want to watch more of them movie together. I just don't really like the ending... i love them so much i watch all chae movie, and collect all her movies. she is a very good actress...... never stop loving them both......... love this movie alot.. can't explain why....just love it alot.. alot... alot... alot...

A Recommended Series Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I bought this series because of Peter Ho. I didn't know much about the other two lead characters before I saw this series. This was one of the few modern settings that Peter was in lately. He's really handsome especially with the new tan look! The story itself was quite interesting and the first 2 episodes were shot in Greece which added more romance to the series and also was the best 2 episodes of the whole series. Like all other Taiwanese TV series, it tends to drag a bit too long towards the middle part of the series and made it a bit boring and one could skip a few episodes and watch the last 2. Also, if any one notice that almost all Taiwanese TV series, the openning scene is always the same, with all the main characters dressed in white and line-up in one line looking to the sky above! (for example: Meteor Garden,
Heaven's Wedding Gown, Starry Night, and this one), don't they have some other different ways to portray the main characters?
Anyway, this is still a recommendable TV series as a whole, especially for those who likes Peter.

The good, the bad and the ugly Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
The Good: I got this movie because of my two favorite stars:Peter and Alec. I liked them equally but even though Alec is billed as number one, and Peter is billed as number three, I feel like the star of this show is Peter. Of all the characters of this show, Peter shines and his story line is the best. The other good things are the beautiful music and the beauty of Greece and Shanghai.
The Bad:the stroy is too slow . Not enough characters that make me care. I like Peter and the flower girl the best. Even though I like Alec, I hated his stroy line. The story line is also somewhat unbeleivable (what Alec's mother could do to Alec. I know I could not force my son to marry anyone ) and Alec has not done enough to be worth the undenying love
(I think the girl is blind for not seeing how much Peter loves her)
The ugly: It is advertised as having traditional Chinese as subtle.My copy did not have subtitle and one of the disc has scratches and would not play half way through the show

i love this series~! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
although it tends to be draggy (40 eps) the pretty cast makes up for it. A collaboration between Taiwan actors(Alec Su - looks very good here i must say and Peter Ho) and Korean actress Chae Rim and somemore other mainlan actors, this drama explores the pain of loving someone. The center theme is Plato's Eternity - loving someone without expecting anything in return even if it means bringing only hurt to youself. Film partially in Greece near the Aegean Sea, the director has managed to capture the beauty of Greece which compliments the beautiful love story that unfolds.
Beautiful scenes and beautiful music and beautiful people - what else can one ask for?

I realli liked how dis story went even though it was realli sad. I loved Alec Su & Chae Rim in here cuz dey made a great couple n dey lightened up da series. Peter Ho was always in da way n I dun lik his acting skills. He just seems too new to da acting business. This series made me cry so much n wen I watched it over, it still made me cry. I would buy dis series bcuz you would want to watch it over & over again.

reply to lisa: i have the mandarin version (simpl ch) and no there are no english subtitles.

the box is a bit misleading. only the first few segments take place in greece, the rest of the story takes place in china (and is shot in what appears to be a standard film set - you will soon start to recognise the same streets etc)

this is basically a soap opera. even so, i thought it was pretty poor. not enough story to keep it going imho.
