Miriam Yeung has established herself as a brilliant comic actress in Dummy Mummy, Without a Baby. She is back in this new Ma Wai Ho's comedy, Love Undercover, as a policewoman, Fong Lai Guen.

Fong was ordered to go undercover but ended up falling in love with her target, the son of a gang boss (Daniel Wu). To prevent her cover from being blown, members of her team have to masquerade as her family members. Totally hilarious.

　　立心當差的方麗娟幾經辛苦考入學堂，不過她畢業的成績只容她進入失物登記工作。誤打誤撞間她接受了首個重要差使，把裝了偷聽器的茄汁放在目標人物祖的旁邊。豈料祖的女友突然殺到與之爭執，更舉起茄汁樽欲敲在祖的頭上，娟為完成任務擋在祖身前，祖心存感激。原來祖是龍頭大哥養子，警方得悉他將接手業務，故欲先擒他免除後患。祖為多謝娟而邀約她，卻因此產生好感……
　　Fong gets into the Police Training School to satisfy her pledge, however her fair performance in school is only allowed her to do some trivial stuffs in the police station after graduation, Meanwhile, she is assigned an important task, which is to pretend a waitress and put the eavesdrop machine on the target, Man. Thus something unexpected has occurred which spoils their plan...

"Love Undercover" succeeds as a very entertaining romantic comedy largely due to Miriam Yeung's amazing spontaneity. Miss Yeung works magic with her seemingly effortless physicality, managing to be coy, goofy, and seductive all at the same time. Miss Yeung plays an utterly incompetent but surprisingly resourceful cop sent undercover to investigate a triad boss's son (Daniel Wu). Unexpectedly Wu is captivated by Yeung's bunbling charm. The police hope to use Wu's infatuation with Yeung to learn more about his operations, but their plans go awry when Yeung falls for the dashing Wu. It's a perfect set-up for Yeung to wreak comedic havoc and she pulls it off brilliantly. The film is a bit cluttered with unnecessary minor characters and storylines, but the excellent cast keeps the laughs coming. Highly recommended.

This is one of my favorite movies, I love it. Miriam is an undercover cop and Daniel is a triad member. She goes undercover to stop him from killing a guy and preventing other things from happening. They end up dating each other and falling in love, so many things happen to get where they are.

In this HK keystone cops style romp Miriam Yeung as spectacularly incompetent police officer Kuen (although she is nowhere near as incompetent as her colleagues) and Daniel Wu as the triad (or is he?) Man who she goes under cover to investigate make a wonderful comic combination.

Due to a series of misadventures and misunderstandings what is meant to be a one night assignment for Kuen posing as a waitress to record a conversation between Man and an associate eventually becomes a full blown relationship when she and Man fall in love.

Will their relationship flourish? Will Kuen be allowed to remain in the HK Police Force? Watch and see.

"Love Undercover" made me a fan of Miriam Yeung and Daniel Wu. I love Miriam's character Fong Lai Kuen, who is a not-so-smart but good-hearted officer. Daniel's father is an ex-triad king pin. Fong Lai Kuen is to go undercover to see what Daniel's father is up to these days. Fong Lai Kuen at first was stern and strict towards Daniel, that's because she has a crush on a fellow officer. But as time passes, and Daniel acts very gentlemanly and nice to her, she can't help but fall in love with him.

Miriam and Daniel are very funny in this movie. I also watched 'Love Undercover II', but I prefer this first "Love Undercover" the story is better.

now if you've never ever seen this movie, WATCH it ! cuz then i fell in love with this movie as soon as i saw it. i'm watching it at least once everyday now ! yup ! that's how obsessed i am ! this movie is funny and so romantic. makes me wanna be undercover when i grow up ! daniel wu is the hottest and cutest guy ever ! usually, he's in these bad boy movies and BOOOOOOOOO ! but i love him in this movie. miriam is also one of my fave actresses cuz she's very funny and david and her makes a great couple. but ofcourse i wouldn't really want that to happen... just kidding ! haha
