Eleven years after his romantic comedy blockbuster Summer Holiday (2000), director Jingle Ma proudly returns to the genre with another winner! While Love You You is not exactly a sequel, it does share a few elements in common with its beloved predecessor, which was also set and shot on some beautiful sunny beaches in Malaysia, and featured a pair of charismatic idols in the lead. This time around, Hong Kong model-turned-actress Angelababy (Love in Space) and Taiwan heartthrob Eddie Peng (Jump Ashin!) take on the lovey-dovey mantle from Sammi Cheng and Richie Jen, with an equally attractive supporting cast consisting of popular Mainland actors Zhu Yuchen, Zhou Yang, and singer Angel He. Coupled with the breathtaking exotic scenery, and a sweet soundtrack courtesy of Singaporean pop musician JJ Lin, Love You You offers a wholesome and delightful pure romance that is sure to please many urban audiences.
Law firm employee Xia Mi (Angelababy) is sent to a picturesque tropical island to investigate You Lele (Eddie Peng), the young owner of the island's beach resort suspected of illegal business practices, so she goes undercover to work as a servant in his resort. Like many great love stories before theirs, Xia and You don't really hit it off when they first meet each other, but under the magical spell of the romantic setting, sparks of love begin to fly between them. However, it turns out that they both harbor secrets of their own, which threaten to nip their relationship in the bud...

On a beautiful tropical island, the timelessly romantic story of boy meets girl unfolds for a new generation. Xiami is a beautiful case investigator sent to this island on a secret mission. She is to dig up information on You Lele, the young boss of the island’s resort. When the brash and ambitious Lele first crosses paths with sensitive and quick-witted Xiami, they get off on the wrong foot and the last thing on either of their minds is romance. However, Xiami has a task to complete and decides to go undercover as a helper at the resort in order to find out more about Lele. He proves to be a tough boss, and their relationship becomes even more frayed. Lele has reason to be demanding as he has a big challenge ahead of him – a rich young couple has booked all the rooms in order to host a sumptuous wedding ceremony. When the soon-to-be bride and groom’s relationship take an unexpectedly disastrous turn, it’s up to Lele and Xiami to work together and get the couple back together before the wedding is cancelled.
