Loveholic scores again
| Loveholic returns with an album of cover versions ... and a very sweet album it is. The emphasis is on ballads, but the album also includes a couple of quirky uptempo rockers. The CD opens with a liltingly lovely a capella number that may be my favorite Loveholic song yet. The only thing I would change about this album would be to leave out John Lennon's dopey, banal Christmas song. Otherwise, this is a nearly perfect collection and I recommend it highly. |

Not an average tribute album
| As the title suggests, this latest album is Loveholic's first tribute album. But it might as well be considered an original since Loveholic has totally revamped--rearranged in a good way--all the songs of yester-years. Some of the songs are a decade or two old K-pop favorites and, yet, Loveholic has managed successfully give new lives to these well-worn and may I say almost forgotten lyrics and melodies except in memory chips of karaoke machines. Loveholic, thanks largely to the group's lead vocalist Jisun, approaches with an almost effervescent ease and the songs are vaguely remininscent without being nostalgic. Tracks 2, 7 and 9 are prime examples of Loveholic's near-magical touch in rearrangement. |

Again...
|
Yet again, Loveholic has amazed me. I first heard Jisun from Loveholic feature on Epik High's album and her beautiful, unique vocals took over the song and stuck in my mind. Nice Dream, possibly one of the best albums I have heard was my first proper taste of Loveholic. I was not disappointed. And this album, 'Re-wind' again does not disappoint. The opening track is definitely unique, and unlike anything you would hear on the mainstream market. Each song is beautiful in it's own way which I think makes Loveholic my favourite band EVER. They have such a vision for musicianship. The only think I disliked about this album was that it was only 11 tracks!! :( I want more!!!! Buy this if you want a taste of Korean soft-rock but you have got to have this album if you want to be introduced to one of Koreas most successful bands. |
