January 9, 2007 Not an average tribute album Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
As the title suggests, this latest album is Loveholic's first tribute album. But it might as well be considered an original since Loveholic has totally revamped--rearranged in a good way--all the songs of yester-years. Some of the songs are a decade or two old K-pop favorites and, yet, Loveholic has managed successfully give new lives to these well-worn and may I say almost forgotten lyrics and melodies except in memory chips of karaoke machines. Loveholic, thanks largely to the group's lead vocalist Jisun, approaches with an almost effervescent ease and the songs are vaguely remininscent without being nostalgic. Tracks 2, 7 and 9 are prime examples of Loveholic's near-magical touch in rearrangement.

June 9, 2002 Compelling subject: Disappointing Narrative Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
I watched this film several years ago. This film deals with a little known incident--a rebellion led by a local magistrate's messenger boy--in Korea's most tumultuous period at the end of the Choson Dynasty. In a way, the film portrays the lead character, Yi Seung-jae's transformation from an ignorant, insignificant figure tranformed by foreign intrusion (i.e., a French punitive expedition) to lead a popular uprising. As compelling as the subject is, the film fails in convincing this reviewer of the political awakening--a proto-nationalist awakening, if you will. The film quickly become mired in triviality of Yi's budding romance with Shim Eun-ha's character.
