Lucky Diamond (VCD) (Hong Kong Version) VCD

One of Anita Mui's early works, 1985 comedy thriller Lucky Diamond is a great showcase of the late actress's comic talents and natural charisma. She strikes great chemistry with co-star Alex Man as a feuding couple who become the hapless targets of a dangerous gang. Lucky Diamond is helmed by renowned action choreographer Yuen Cheung Yan, the younger brother of Yuen Woo Ping. Though his forays into directing have been less noticeable than his older brother's, Yuen Cheung Yan was fairly active behind the camera in the 1980s and early 90s, directing films like Taoism Drunkard (1984), Funny Ghost (1989), and Here Comes a Vampire (1990).

Fitness teacher Ji (Anita Mui) and bumbling private detective George (Alex Man) hold shop in the same space. The two are constantly arguing, but in reality they both harbor secret feelings for each other. One day, a precious diamond called "Lucky Star" is stolen from local tycoon Tsao. This should have nothing to do with Ji and George, but one of the robbers runs off with the diamond and by chance ends up hiding the stone in Ji's apartment. Mistaken as a partner-in-crime by the other robbers, Ji becomes their new target. Luckily, George shows up to save her every time the gang closes in, but the danger multiplies when George discovers the truth behind the "Lucky Star" case.

Mr. and Mrs. Tsao had a heirloom, a valuable diamond named "Lucky Star". They hired four gangsters to rob it in order to cheat the insurance company for the compensation. However, one of them intended to possess the diamond alone. They were very angry and wanted to kill him. He escaped into Ji's house and put the diamond into the face cream of Ji and then quitted. Unluckily, Ji was mistaken by the other three that she was his member. So Ji was attacked by the three gangsters but fortunately she could escape by her device. Ji and detective George Li rented a house to do business together. Ji and George were quarrelsome lovers. They love each other secretly. George had an assistant, Dr. IQ, who was and inventor. Simultaneously, George was being employed by the insurance company to investigate the robbery case of "Lucky Star", so he tried to protect Ji by all means then they loved each other more. At one time, the three robbers attacked George and kidnapped Ji. George and IQ arrived, there was a violent fight between them and the robbers......
