CD:
Hoshi wo Mezashite - Theme song for Tegoshi's Happy Feet! A very sweet song...meaning very sugar pop. Everyone gets to sing solo's (well, Koyama and Shige get a duet) but as usual Tegoshi and Masuda prove to be the best vocalist providing a solid performance. In terms of music progress, sadly nothing overly memorable about this song...until you listen carefully to the lyrics.
Boom! Boom! POWER - A very strange space-y sounding song, but moving more towards rock then the previous song's sugar pop. Shige proves that he can sing to this type of music by giving a very strong opening to the song. Other then that, a very upbeat song.
Akai Hana - Kind of soft-core techno. Everyone get's solos and again very upbeat. Sadly no one really stood out in terms of vocal ability. I'm pretty sure this song has never been heard before which is a nice treat since Hoshi wo Mezashite and Boom! Boom! POWER were both herd in low quality on the internet before the release of this single.
DVD:
This is really where you money is going. The 30 minute DVD features three songs from the SENDAI Spring Concert 2006 before NEWS' hiatus. The songs they performed are: Yume no Kazu Dake Ai ga Umareru (acapella), Hadashi no Cinderella Boy and Sayaendo. I would have to say that this was their best live performance, ever. The guys actually sang their solos live and I was really impressed. The concert was really upbeat and worth every cent.
The DVD also includes the filming of the CD Jacket shooting. Really awesome because you can see all the member love and the guys goofing off. They also provide commentary about their thoughts about the re-debut and the new single.
