May 26, 2008 The RomanticistThis CD lived up to it's title, Shin has such a romantic voice, so versatile,a truly great singer. I must say I am so mesmerized by the beauty of the korean language. I like track no 2, 4, 5, very romantic and 7,8 has a Latin tempo, rather jazzy. The piano and strings added to these melodic love songs were simply lovely. My very favorite are no 10 and 14, you must watched the drama first for no 14, it never ceased to break your heart after, when you hear this song. Shin sang it with such feeling, it's fabulous. This is one enduring love drama I shall enjoyed watching over again and again. I must admit the script in the last episode does leave me feeling somewhat dissatisfied, the ending could not be more cruel or other might say, poetic. Did you find this review helpful? There was a good deal of story, unfortunately the performance from the two leads were rather dull.There was no sparks, lame, I just could not feel any romance. The director had picked the wrong actors, such a shame, there was a solid plot of story. The sound track was equally poor. The beginning was unwatchable, a bunch of adults trying to act as high school students. Choi ji Woo is a melancholic beauty, her acting always the same to me--- limited. There was no intensity, no spark, it was like a romance between tired middle age people. I was not feeling compelled to watch it all. The director made the mistake as other dramas, too slow, lost the plot half way.The storyline was dull, not romantic enough for me. I loved the dialogues added in the sound tracks , the songs were so heart breaking that track no.14 made my heart ache as it took me back to the scene of the drama. The booklet it came with had lovely pictures of Park Shin Hye and Lee Wan. The music and songs went perfect with the story. It could still bring tears to my eyes when I listened and more touched as I knew how the story went. I would look forward to see more of Park and Lee Wan,they were so natural ,very good actors. And I must said the insertion of little dialogues in the sound track were clever and effective.I thoroughtly enjoyed the drama and the OST, just wished that the ending was less cruel.
