MBLAQ - Just Blaq

There are many Korean boy bands set to debut this autumn, but only one has the backing of K-pop's biggest star Rain! As the first group produced by Rain, MBLAQ has big expectations to live up to, but after two years of tough training the five members are more than up for the challenge. MBLAQ, which stands for Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality, is fronted by leader Seung Ho, the group's oldest member at 22. The main vocalist is GO (Jung Byung Hee), who went by the stage name Jang Goon when he was with TYKEYS. Celebrity siblings Mir (Bae Chul Young), the younger brother of actress Go Eun Ah, and Cheon Dung (Park Sang Hyun), the younger brother of 2NE1's Sandara, are the rappers of the group. Last, we have vocalist Lee Joon, who appears as the younger version of Rain in Ninja Assassin. MBLAQ has already been lighting up the stage as guest performers on Rain's Legend of Rainism tour, and now the guys are finally making their official debut. MBLAQ's debut album Just BLAQ comes with three tracks including their hot dance single Oh Yeah.

뱀파이어의 "거부할 수 없는 치명적 매력"

비가 프로듀싱한 차세대 남성 5인조 그룹 엠블랙(MBALQ)이 자켓 사진을 통해, 그룹의 색깔을 드러내었다.

무엇보다 엠블랙(MBLAQ)이 "Music Boys Live in Absolute Quality;절대적 자질의 노래 부르는 소년들"이라는 의미를 가진 만큼, 그룹의 색깔도 "거부할 수 없는, 절대적인" 매력을 가진 "뱀파이어"를 표방했다.

영화 "뱀파이어와의 인터뷰"에서의 브래드 피트, 영화 "Twilight"에서의 로버트 패틴슨처럼, 뱀파이어는 늘 "치명적 유혹"을 하는 "거부할 수 없는 매력의 소유자"로 그려져 왔다. 그리고, 이 매력들이 이번에는 음악을 통해, 바로 엠블랙의 첫 앨범을 통해 그려진다.

5명으로 구성된 엠블랙은 리더인 승호를 제외하고는 모두 멤버 각자의 특색을 잘 나타내는 무대명을 별도로 작명했다.

메인 보컬을 맡고 있는 지오(GO)는 영문자 "go"에서 가져온 말로, "앞으로 전진하자"는 의미를 담고 있다. 그리고, '닌자 어쌔신'에서 비의 아역을 맡았던 준(Joon) 역시 실명보다 좀 더 부르기 쉽고 인지하기 좋은 이름인 "준"을 택했다. 누나 고은아에이어연예계의길에들어선래퍼미르(Mir)는 이름에 들어가 있는 "용"이라는 어휘에서, 용의 순수한 한글인 "미르"를 선택했다. 그리고 엠블랙의 멤버로 마지막으로 합류한 천둥은, 춤 출 때 전율을 준다 하여, 붙여진 이름이다.
