surprised
|
i had watched this movie about two years ago but i remember everything about it because it was so good. Tony really shines in this. the only thing that i didn't like in this movie however was the relationship between him and Christy, they seemed really wrong together and her character didn't really show anything special. the rest of the cast was really perfect. |

Mack the Knife

I was a total fan after watching him in this movie. I had seen some of his dramatic roles but this was my first exposure to his incredible comedic timing. I am amazed to see someone who has such incredible range of talent. It made me laugh and smile for two days after watching it. My friends thought I was insane, but it really made me happy. |

Great Actors and Great Film
|
This film is almost similar to Riley Yip Kam Hung's "Love Is Not a Game But a Joke" because the film follows the actors filimg their life, and without much of a clear direction. But this is where the actors really shine. Tony is Dr Mack, the once brilliant street doctor who was expelled from medical school due to legal bearacracies and an ungrateful patient who sued him depsite him saving his life. His colleague, jealous of his success takes over his position. Dr Mack now works in the streets in his makeshift clinic helping the outcasts. Depsite being seedy, he has a gentle heart and is loved by all who are around him, even helping his former colleague with advice performing major operations and letting him steal all his glory. Andy Hui is the innocent intern who is so impressed with Dr Mack that he comes to work with him and given a cancer patient to look after learns the meaning of love and life. He also learns the secret love of Tony's past and why he is not affected by the death & sickness around him. It is a movie that you may not like the first time as it seems directionless and cheaply filmed but the more you watch it the more life lessons you can glean out of it out of it. It is realistic, funny, ironical, tragic and simply brilliant to watch. |

A Must Get
|
If you are a Tony Leung fan, you could see him being totally Tony, smooth, suave, and couldn't care less about what the world thinks of him. Great movie. And you see Andy Hui, a light dose of Jordan and Sean Lau. Don't miss it. Tony's performance made this a valuable collection. You don't see him very often with a light moustache or unshaven look. |
