When Macross Frontier, the third television series that spawned from the long-running animation franchise, ended its run in September 2008, the makers immediately announced that it would be going to the big screen. A year later, that promise was fulfilled with the release of The False Songstress. The feature-length film is a big-screen adaptation of the entire Macross Frontier series, with minor changes regarding story and character choices along the way. Again, the False Songstress follows the adventures of Sheryl Nome and other space warriors as they travel across space on the Macross Frontier in search of a new planet for mankind. Along the way, they encounter Vajra, an alien race seemingly out to destroy all human beings once and for all. Now, it's up to the group of warriors to defeat the Vajra and save the ten million inhabitants of the Macross Frontier.
