　　在2009年經過十年修理的馬戈斯戰艦終可再次啟航。但仙度拉底軍團突襲城市，而來參觀的馬輝亦肩起抗敵任務…輝所乘的戰鬥機被敵人擊中，變身成為機械人降落在街上。輝更在混亂中救了一名少女林明明……
　　輝及明明被福卡救回馬戈斯戰艦，與此同時，艦長決定進入「空間轉移」﹗本想離開的輝及明明也不得不留在艦內……他們二人在艦內迷了路，大家也不知死活，明明想在死穿一次嫁衣。就在此時，他們終於被發現救出……
　　艦長把馬戈斯變為「強攻型」，發出厲害的一砲，把附近的敵軍炸個粉碎。輝亦因為聽到這個消息而決定加入軍隊…輝成為正式軍人後第一個任務便是偷襲敵軍，可惜敵軍太強，馬戈斯戰艦反被攻擊，幸好美莎想出辦法助馬戈斯脫險……
　　馬戈斯戰艦在火星補給糧食時而不幸中了敵軍圈套，情況非常危急，而輝亦正拯救因憶起已逝世的戀人而身陷險境的美莎…有優異表現的輝獲進昇為少尉，率領兩名部屬柿崎及麥斯一起抗敵。輝更把勳章送給明明作為生日禮物……
　　為了慶祝艦內MBS電視台開幕，特別舉行了「馬戈斯小姐」選舉比賽，而明明更贏取了冠軍…馬戈斯戰艦的雷達被敵軍破壞，偵察隊的美莎更被敵人俘虜了。而負責保護偵察隊的輝、柿崎及麥斯也一同被擒獲……
　　輝、美莎及柿崎三人被帶到離馬戈斯很遠的敵方基地盤問，輝反美莎示範親吻，這令敵方各人也大震驚……
　　麥斯把三人救出牢房，幾經波折，四人終於潛入一艘運載著敵軍諜，正準備飛向馬戈斯的敵方戢艦中逃走……
　　三位從敵軍派來的間諜對馬戈斯戰艦上的每一件事都感到陌生有趣。馬戈斯戰艦終可衝破敵人的包圍，返回地球…
　　更嚴峻的考驗正等待著高樂艦長，他必須向聯合軍總司令部解釋整件的始末，設法使他們相信有關敵軍的重要資料……
　　高樂艦長與美莎到阿拉斯加總部報告；而輝則陪著明明回橫濱探望家人雖然目的地不同，但卻同樣遇到意想不到的事情…
　　明明的表哥介生隨著明明一起回到馬戈斯戰艦，美莎覺得他與自己已逝世的戀人非常相像。另一方面，敵人再次突襲，而輝更因此受了傷……
　　受了傷而被送進醫院急救的輝，因為腦部受了震盪，不但回想起以往的事情，更產生很多奇怪的幻想，被惡夢所纏繞……
　　飛行技術了得的敵方飛行員美利亞全心挑戰麥斯；這次戰鬥中，福卡不幸陣亡這對輝及黑珍珠是一個?重的打擊……
　　敵軍不斷繼續?擊馬戈斯戰艦，雖然防衛網爆炸擊退了敵艦，但也同時摧毀了地上的都市，北澳洲自治區亦因而拒絕接受馬戈斯戰艦上市民登陸的要求……
　　三位間諜回到敵艦報告所的資料，聽到後各人也震驚。
　　另一方面，聯合軍正式把馬戈斯戰艦驅逐出地球區域……
　　在電影「小白龍」首映當天，敵軍再次侵襲。首映禮上相遇的輝及美莎，趕回基地途中迷了路，因而傾吐了不少心事……
　　三位間諜從馬戈斯戰艦上所帶回來的玩意，令部份敵軍的士兵有了叛變的心。同時，一部份敵人入侵戰艦，破壞船上的設施……
　　經過一番商討後，艦長決定收容敵方投降的士兵。而美莎亦準備飛往地球聯合軍總部，希望找出停戰的方法……
　　在這遊戲機中心，麥斯遇上敵軍的美利亞，更喜歡了她。另一方面，莎到了地球?報，輝亦因看到明明與介生的訪問而心事重重……
　　因看到麥斯及美利亞的結婚禮而驚訝不已的敵軍總領袖，下令鐵滅馬戈斯戰艦；大部份士兵已完全沒有了戰爭的鬥志……
　　敵軍與馬戈斯戰艦第一次正式談判，協議停戰。可是，龐大的敵方基地艦隊正準備把地球消滅；可怕的事情即將發生了……
　　擁有強大軍力的基地艦隊在一瞬間把地球毀滅了﹗幸而輝想到利用明明的歌聲擾亂敵方的思緒，使突襲成功……
　　長期的戰爭終於結束了﹗馬戈斯戰艦及部份敵軍的生還者回到地球上，進行修葺的工作，但是問題並未停止……
　　有越來越多維達斯異星人忍受不了平凡的地球生活，開始四處破壞。這群離群者被召集一起；暴亂正在蘊釀中……
　　為了擴充軍備，馬戈斯艦長派出輝他們飛往宇宙，把敵軍的自動製造宇宙戰艦的衛星工場奪取回來……
　　由甘正所帶領的維達異星人奪去了體型變換裝備，暴亂一觸即發。另一方面，異星人與地球人的關係有了驚人的發現……甘正抓了明明及介生當人質，要求聯合軍拿一艘戰艦來交換兩人的性命。高樂艦長他們立即部署拯救行動……
　　輝及美莎又吵架了。美莎聽了黑珍珠與福卡戀愛史後，藉著一罐紅荼終於與輝和好如初……
　　輝約了美莎去野餐，可是明明突然的來電令輝失約了，不知情的美莎正在約會地點等待著……
　　在聖誕節當天，甘正再次發動攻擊，奪取反應引擎﹗美莎無意間知道輝和明明在一起，決定不召喚輝出戰……
　　甘正已經完成戰艦維修工作，準備把馬戈斯戰艦毀滅﹗究竟這最後之戰結果會如何呢？輝、明明及美莎三人的關係又會如何發展呢？

Great TV Animation Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
I believe that this is one of the 80's TV animation. Even this aniamtion is over 20 years but the story is still very attractive.

Shoji Kawamori comes back for Macross Plus. He is the true master mind of mecha designs and a truthful love story. As a kid I loved watching Robotech Macross Saga. In Macross Plus, the old Roy Focker story is somewhat revisited. As two new Valkyre fighters are being tested by two great UN Spacy pilots, Isamu Dyson and Zentradi Guld Bowman. This story takes place way after the Zentradi war, and the Alus (SDF-1). However also in the mix of the story is Sharon Apple a promised A.I., also supposively the new virtual singer which brings peach. However, founder of Sharon Apple tricks the audience, due to incompletion of the A.I. chip, hires Myung a mutual ex-girlfriend of Isamu. Myung's controlling of the A.I. eventually leads Sharon to learn her emotions of the past. Sharon eventually is given a chip which makes her a full A.I. Both UNS and the founder of Sharon release Sharon Apple's debut which ends up controlling Macross and its people. Isamu and Guld utilize their newly tested Valkyre fighters to combat the new uncontrollible A.I. Isamu continues to save Myung from Sharon Apple. The graphics on this movie are done very well. If you own the Robotech series, you'll notice how this 1999 release has improved utilizing computer graphics.
