雪国でソバ屋を営む伯父のもとに預けられた高校生の山本うさぎ。彼女は、恋人の事故死のきっかけを作ったことで罪悪感に苛まれ、また学校では中傷の的となり、自暴自棄な生活を送っていた。そんなうさぎが、ソバ屋の常連客である高校教師・三沢に興味を抱くようになった。三沢に、少しずつ自分の心の傷を打ち明けてゆくうさぎ。そんなうさぎに、三沢は"マザーツリー"と呼ばれるブナの巨木の話を聞かせる。やがて三沢は高校を辞め、別の道に進むべく旅立っていった。三沢がいなくなり、ぼんやりと日々を過ごすうさぎは、三沢が話していた"マザーツリー"を探そうと、森へと足を踏み入れていく…。 ■映像特典：メイキング映像（5分）
