(4)Our Price: US$114.99Usually ships within 7 - 14 daysJune 23, 2008 Faces saids it allI been an F4 fan since MG. But I think Vic and Ken's facial expressions on the front cover sums it all up about this series. What the heck were we thinking? They really need to limit these idol series to no more than 20 episodes. Anything more makes you wanna go to sleep.

March 21, 2008 MG 1 and 2I got hooked with Taiwan tv series after watching MG1. I am fluent in cantonese and can understand mandarin here and there. I first watched MG1 dubbed in cantonese. Then bought MG2 and watched it in mandarin, which I enjoyed much better even though I dont speak mandarin. Then I wind up buying another MG1 in mandarin and watched it over again and i can say its definitely much better the dubbed version. Since Taiwanese tv series are like TVB series where voices are recorded live, listening to the original voices makes a huge difference because their emotions are much more expressive. If the series is just dubbed like the ones from china, then it dont make any difference if its canto or mandarin.

Mulan (DVD) (End) (Taiwan Version)
February 26, 2008 The price is rightThe God of Kitchen is hilarious and his facial expressions and acting are priceless. Could have been even better with more fight scenes and less family comic dramas. Anita played Mulan nicely and Vincent did a nice job as well playing the General. Overall its a great show to watch. Its more of the old school type of TV series, and you can't go wrong with $24 for 40 episodes.

November 7, 2007 BORINGI watched about 10 episodes so far. Honestly I found the lovey dovey stuff childlish and boring as hell. I'm starting to lose interests as the romantic stuff keeps dragging on and on. I just hope the plot get better later on with the wing chun stuff, not the kiddie romance stuff. No wonder its 40 episodes, as the director throws in so much garbage in between the serious side of the story.

(2)Our Price: US$20.49List: US$25.00Save: US$4.51 (18%)October 18, 2007 1980sI remembered watching it on VHS 20 years ago. What made this series special was the music. Not to mentioned Simon Yam really flourished his acting skills as well; as Simon was in his prime. The music made the love relationship between the 2 leading characters a gem to watch. Buy it, watch it, you won't regret it.

The Kung Fu Master (DVD) (End) (US Version)
October 9, 2007 Finally a full versionI seen the short version of this series last year, Kung Fu Master and revenge of. I really enjoyed it. Although the short version flows pretty smoothly, there must be alot being cutted out since this is 30 episodes compared to the 8 shorter ones on VCDs. Its worth the money to buy again if you are into the 1970s shaw brothers shaolin martial arts old school movies.

July 30, 2007 Its not YesAsia's FaultJust some advice to everyone. We can complain no English subtitles but its not YesAsia's fault as they only sell the movies. If I guess right, it's Tai Seng that does the Cantonese and adds English subtitles to a movie. It takes time to translate the movie with english subtitles so it takes months and months longer. As for why its called US version but no English subtitles, it has to do with NTSC for the USA and PAL format for China etc, it has nothing to do with English subtitles. lol

July 19, 2007 English Subtitles? You want English subtitles? I noticed the way it works is: when they come out with the cantonese/mandarin version, that's when they will have Engilsh subtitles. So gotta wait another 6 months for cantonese and english subs and pay extra $20-30 more! I want to buy Wing Chun but same situation, gotta wait like 6 months for cantonese one!

MARS (Ep.1-20) (End) (US Version)
February 27, 2007 Meteor Mars GardenI watched MARS like 2 months after watching MG then 2 months later MG2. After seeing all 3, I got an idea for MG3. Picture the opening scene of MG3, Jerry and Barbie returns to Barcelona for Honeymoon. One day both decides to visit the local race track and then both see what appears to be Lei showing up on the TV screen as the winner of the race. After tracking Vic down, only to find out its not Lei, its Lin. Then all hell broke loose after they see Lin's wife. Two Vics (Lei and Lin) and two Barbies. Turns out Lin not only had a twin bro but they were triplets w/Lei and Barbie are twins. Then to confirm all their sibling relationships, they all head back to Taipei and Lin/Barbie joins F4 and Barbie. Call it Meteor Mars Garden. lol. Seriously though, I thought Mars was an excellent film with profound meanings.

The Hospital (Ep.1-39) (End) (US Version)
January 23, 2007 Too LongThe first 15-20 episodes worth watching when the story primarily focused in the lives of the doctors at the hospital. Sort of like a taiwanese version of ER. Then after that, the story got really slow and seemed to dragged on forever Should have made it a 30 episodes series than 39. As for F4's Jerry Yan, he did a pretty good job in portraying his role, but don't expect any of his meteor garden stuff.

December 4, 2006 Greatest TVB classicThis is one of the Greatest TVB must watch classic series of the 1980's. For the one who's complaining about the sound, if you still have the VCDs, when its playing, just press the "audio" button on your DVD remote control, and you should hear either mandarin or cantonese, not both. Just press it to select which dialect you want to hear. Hope this helps.

Condor Hero (Vol.1-41) (End) (US Version)

April 6, 2006 Pretty goodAnyone noticed that they may have used some of the old Andy Lau TVB Condor Hero background music in this remake? Whether they did or not, this remake is still pretty good and worth watching. I dont think they cut any parts out to fit in 41 chapters. Instead of letting you see what happened in the past, they just talked about it instead. Like in the beginning why little yen gor winded up in the temple...the original showed you why but here they just talked about what had happened. You might feel a little lost if you never read the book or watched any other condor heros tv series.
One last comment, there's one thing you dont get to hear and FEEL between yen gor and his goo-goo in this remake. The way how Andy Lau-yen gor says "goo-goo" and how she softly articulates "gor-yee" in the 1980s TVB series. You can feel in your heart, of the love and chemistry they had just from their tone of voice. Like most new remakes, majority of all the actors/actresses voices are dubbed so you lose all that.

November 11, 2005 Beginning was goodDespite all the computer aided Martix special effects, the opening scene was good as the fighting was pretty well choreographed. Then the rest of the fight scenes got pretty bad as everything was done by the computer. The 3 leading male characters did an ok job but no where closed to the 3 actors from the original TVB series from the 1980's. Especially the begger in this version, let's just say the guy lacks charisma. Let's just say the only thing that this modern series shines over the original series is that there are some breath taking sceneries in China. Other than that, nothing else outshines the original.
