MANIAC COP is an action-suspense-thriller about a series of brutal mutilation murders that terrorize New York City. Police officer Jack Forrest (BRUCE CAMPBELL) is arrested as a convenient sacrifice to the public, but his incarceration is based on extremly flimsy evidence. His adoring mistress, Teresa Mallory (LAURENE LANDON), a beautiful undercover policewoman, tries frantically to prove his innocence. Detective McCrae (TOM ATKINS) spearheads an investigation to clear ack, but gets violently killed after discovering the bizarre secret identity of the ruthless Maniac Cop. The gut-wrenching finale pits the lovers, Jack and Teresa, against the NYPD's lengendary Cop's Cop. It's the late Officer Cordell, who has come back to life and become the blood-thirsty, invincible MANIAC COP!

This is a Great Movie with a Great Price. With the Region 1 DVD out of print. This All Region DVD makes a great alternative if you don't mind subtitles.
