Loads of fun on Mapa Island Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
In "Mapado", a former extortionist who is trying, but failing, to run a legitimate business, stakes his future on winning the lottery. He sends his office assistant to buy him a ticket, with a number that he routinely plays in the lottery.

Before she returns to the office, the office assistant learns that the ticket that she just purchased for her boss is the winning ticket for a jackpot of $16,000,000. Rather than returning to the office, she flees with the ticket, intending to cash it in for herself.

The former extortionist then sends one of his henchman and a corrupt cop to track the girl down and get his ticket. This mismatched pair learn that the girl originally is from a place called Mapa Island and assume that she has gone there to hide. They travel to this remote island to find her ... and that's when the fun starts.

The cop and the henchman pretend to be tourists on a fishing trip when they arrive at the island, but what they find is an island that is uninhabited except for five older women. The women quickly enlist the two men in helping with their chores, such as tilling the fields and patching the roofs on their homes.

Will the men ever catch the girl and get the ticket? Will they go stir-crazy on this island? Will they be driven crazy by the old ladies (or each other)? Watching this terrific film to find the answers to these questions proves to be a lot of fun.

A terrific ensemble cast serves up lots of laughs and leavened with just enough action and suspense. I highly recommend "Mapado" for a general audience. You've never seen anything quite like this and you won't be disappointed!

This is a truly hilarious film. You will laugh your heart out from start to end. I wish they get to do a part 3 as well.

Even the old women are really nasty...and funny. It's something that you will enjoy watching over and over again. Get your copy!!

Ironic ending. you are in for a few laughs. Its not a love story but a friendship between two guys who supposedly hated each other.

Mapado Island Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Although this movie has a slow beginning, you discover that the pace of the movie is deliberate as it lulls you into the pace of Mapado Island. Initially, I had been hesitant about purchasing this movie, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it entertaining.

If you're looking for action and a slash n' crash movie, this is not the show for you. It's about getting back to what is important in life, and determining what your life's priorities are in an amusing manner. The women in this show are hilarious, and the men soon begin to discover something about themselves as well. Enjoyable show.

A movie worth your time Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Whn I saw the case of this movie,I was hesitant whether I should buy it or not. But, I have always known that Lee Moon Shik (the police in the story) is a good actor, with a few movies of his that I have watched it did entertained me. So, I bought it and indeed, it is true when one says that "do not judge the book by ot's cover."
Mostly, the movie was set in a remote island, very far from the city, ut does does not let you down as you see the beauty of life in the place. What with the sunset, the beach and the greenery place.
But, what really is nice about it is that, people doesn't need to have much of material things to be happy. With the 5 widows that stayed in the island, they bring so much joy to each other by "having each other" rather that the material wealth that they have. Life indeed must be enjoyed with what we have rather than what we do not have, and that it's not things that make life worthy, but friends, companionship and the joy of having someone to lend on when the going gets tough. Watch this film, it's worth your money and time!!
