Must have for fans
| Even this dvd is made in 2005, but it is still worth every penny. Main part is 46mins about her life story narrated by Maria, from her childhood (tennis practice footage), short highlight of her Wimbleton moment at the age 17, Serena was interviewed as well, and a lot of off court daily life footage (shopping with her mom, inside an aeroplane, photo shoot sessions). So you get to see a lot of Maria in daily clothing, joke and smile a lot in front of the camcorder, not just her straight face/grunting on the court. As bonus, there are also 4 commmercials (about 4mins) included (Colgate-Palmolive, Speedminton, Canon and Pepsi Japan). This dvd is region 2 which is for Japan, fans in region 1 (US) and 3 (HK) will need region-free dvd player to view. Narration can be in English with Maria's own voice, along with Japanese subtitles (can be turned off), or Maria with dubbed Japanese dialogue. It doesn't seem to be available on AmazonCanada or AmazonUS. Since I couldn't find an English version I think this is a great buy for any Maria fans, this dvd did a good job in balancing her life story and her beauty side, she narrates a lot so it is not so unauthrized 3rd party dvd on Maria, THIS is her biography. Since this is not a hot item, so grab it before it is out of print : ) |
