Market's Romance (Taiwan Version) VCD

A large cast of familiar Hong Kong faces populates Market's Romance, a breezy urban comedy with multiple plots and multiple pleasures. Ellen Chan stars as Kudzu, the eldest of three sisters, who's a successful fishmonger on Luen Yee Hui Street. Kudzu wants her sister Bean (Elle Choi) to aspire to bigger and better things, and she's dismayed when Bean falls for a middle-aged butcher (Lui Fong). Meanwhile, middle sister Mud Carp (Loletta Lee) is engaged to rich guy David (Edmond Leung), but she fears her working class background will be a deterrent to his affluent family. Even more, Kudzu discovers that her pal Gary (Ronald Cheng) has a long-lost brother, and comes to the hopeful conclusion that his missing sibling is rock star Alex To Tak Wai (Alex To as himself)! The hopes and lives of common Hong Kong citizens with differing dreams and desires is explored in director Law Wai Tak's charming, low-key comedy Market's Romance.
