touching, but not that good
|
it was verrrrry OK. The main problem was that it dragged. I think by the sixth episode, the "reality show" on the drama was already ending, and the drag began. The old back and forth of whether or not they should get together. Then there are the female and male third wheelers that are always going against the two main lovers. I guess it was a good idea to go off the "Joe Millionaire" show but it was just too boring. |

nice twist
|
this has a nice twist..although i noticed that some actors were not giving much of an effort to display the appropriate feelings. i like the actor who played go su's father and mr.gang. they both acted well. go su may have a problem with the facial expression but his lines were good. there were moments in the film that he was kind of intellectual. shows that he wasn't a blockhead at all in the film (we just have to dig in deeper). after this drama, there was no news about go su anymore. why was that? anybody who can give me information about the 4 main leads in this drama? ferry |

Good actor - Ko Soo
|
I agree with doris p that Ko Soo is a good actor and try to do the best for all his roles no matter how poor is the character assigned to him. Green Rose is the most successful drama that he made with good director and story. He has a lot of fans in the world. Try to search his name: Ko Soo in internat and view the wonder materials that made by his fans. |

Excuse me! Not Ko Su please...
Excuse me! Not Ko Su please...

have read some of the reviews and it seems that some of them are blaming the male lead actor Ko Su for not liking this one, that he acts so 'poor'(?) and 'dull-witted'(?) in this series?....well, news to you all.......that's what he is supposed to be and what his role requires!.....so I must say he acts very well again (just as he acts very well in Green Rose)in this series for them to notice that he is such a 'poor' and 'dull-witted' guy eh?....but must admit that the storyline in this one was not that heavy, got only a simple story to tell, but have to blame the writers or the director (or whoever is responsbile for the storyline!) for this, not the actors and actresses coz I believe that all of them portrays their role very well in this one...and yes especially Ko Su......have bought only this series coz saw Ko Su was in it....have loved him since watching him from Green Rose (made me cried there especially the scene of his mother's funeral, so can't allow them to say that he can't act coz of this scene!).....but have noticed something after watching two of his series, both in Green Rose and To Marry A Millionaire Ko Su portrays a role wherein he is such a kind and nice guy?....wonder why they always give him such roles?....am not complaining though just wondering....maybe he is really a kind and nice guy in person??...again just wondering.....but still though To Marry A Millionaire got no such tear-jerking moments or funny lines to tell, have no regrets to have watched this one....just seeing Ko Su in it was worth it!...hope he will have more series to come to prove them all that he can really act!.... |

It's disappointing!
|
Drama is not at all dramatic! It's slow, draggy.... Looks typical of SBS production. My first viewing of Ko Su's drama. Verdict is I'll never watch any drama that portrays him. It's a pity, Kim Hyun Ju is in this drama. She's too strong a character for him. He is such a poor actor or the director made him so? It would have been more interesting if it was Rain, Hyun Bin or Kim Jae Won. |

different story line
|
I like the story line because it was different. It was not an ordinary basic story line where two guys fighting for one girl or one main characters looses his or her memory. I like the story line. But what I don't really like is that the actors and actress are not doing their best. It seems like their acting is not very lively. |

Different type of love story
Different type of love story
|
Ko Su stars as a handsome, kind, honest and sincere guy who works really hard to earn a living. The trouble is...he is a little dim-witted. I must say that throughout the whole show he has a perpetual frown on his face and most of the time, there is just a vacant look in his eyes. I wonder if that was required of him or it was just his intepretation of the role. If the latter is the case, then I'd say that he has succeeded very well. Most of the time he looks 'expressionless' and lost. Kim Hyun Ju on the other hand, is bright and cheerful and as with all Korean actresses, has the ability to tear at the drop of the hat! The other male lead going after Kim Hyun Ju in the show also has a perpetual frown on his face. Sigh! So although the plot is refreshing...in that the male lead is poor and not so bright and yet wins the hand of his childhood sweetheart through his sincerity...the whole show is a bit boring. I wonder if the show would be more exciting with a different set of actors in it.... |

Could Have Been Better...
|
Trying to emulate the reality TV show craze, this K-drama could be the Korean version of "Joe Millionaire." Although the drama started out with some originality, the middle and later parts of the drama goes back to the typical love story that are prevalent with many K-dramas. In this sense it was decent, with some very good acting especially from the lead male (Ko Su). My chief complaint of this drama, however, was the poor english subtitles in the English Subtitled version of this drama. On several occassions I had to skip back to certain scenes in order to read and make sense of certain dialogues that were almost gibberish, too bad I don't speak korean... |

After watching Ko su in "Green Rose" which now is my favorite Korean drama, I am glad this drama is for sale on DVD. I can't wait to get my copy. I first saw it here in Hawaii recently and I want to get anything with Ko Su in it. He is so good in everything he acts in. See his movie "Some" also. Kim Hyun Joo, love her acting. She was so good in "Miss Kim's Making A Million" and in "Glass Slippers" which I hope it comes out in DVD someday. |
