This movie was great. Very moving. This is one of the latest movie that I would say was great and have meaning. I just wonder if this was a true story, and how did the screenwriter come up with this story. The two little girls were so cute. I wish the movie would have told us what happen to them after the war. |

Unbelievable powerful, sensitive, touching, loving, educational, and anti war movie. Serious movie goer should not miss this. I just cant stop my tear when I hearing both May and August said "...million of body ashes become rain, it rains down the river, we got to say farewell to our parents" |

During the whole time, i was holding the box of kleenex and was ready for a second one. This movie does not only teach you the culture of the chinese but also the way they lived , which caused all kinds of unhappiness for each person's life. It's really a movie that nobody can't miss it. |

Surprisingly good

Didn't think much when I first got the movie but after the first 10 minutes, I was mesmerized. I had to cry along... don't see it if you're interested in fantasy hollywood movies. This one brings innocence and evil together that only the most sensitive director could've done. Give it a chance to seep into your heart. |

Seriously one of the most moving films i've ever seen. So sad...if you haven't watched it yet you should! It might look like an old movie that most people would not want to watch because it might look boring from the cover but its a really really good movie...one of the BEST! |

One of the best films of the year!!!

I have to say, this was one of the best films I've seen in a long time. It was so touching. The relationship between the 2 sisters was so amazing. The child actors were so amazing, so much better than a lot of the other adult actors we see in films these days. This is a MUST see!!! I don't think there was a moment during the movie (besides the very beginning) that I didn't cry. If you're not the crying type or don't want to watch something sad, I don't recommend this. Otherwise, this is a GREAT MOVIE!!! |
