And that's what the play write has accomplished in this surprisingly fresh and touching drama. I especially admire the courage to take on some not so light-hearted themes such as values (spanning from personal, family, corporation, to society), heritage, responsibility, and obligations.
Of course star power is what made those treatments so easy to swallow. Lee Seung Gi is wonderfully low-keyed in his portrayal of a boy reluctantly growing into a man. Han Hyo Ju is in every way his equal. Watch the two cross swords and sparks fly! The grandmother and stepmother are the yang and yin of gravity that anchor the show. All in all, a most enjoyable view experience.
