The popular rhythm game series Taiko no Tatsujin (a.k.a. Taiko Drum Master gets another DS entry with Meccha! Taiko no Tatsujin DS 7-tsu no Shima no Daibouken. Also known as Taiko Drum Master: 7 Islands' Adventure, the second Taiko game to make it to the DS is filled with the familiar addictive rhythm gameplay that the series is known for. However, developer Namco has made sure to provide some new bells and whistles to make this a fun new experience. Players can now choose from more than one drum, and can even play non-drum percussion instruments like tambourines and bells. As usual, play is enhanced by the enormously cute and endearing character designs, including the series' omnipresent Taiko mascot and the amusing foes and boss characters. Beating foes unlocks new songs and new outfits that can be used to customize the cute little Taiko avatar. Dress him up however you like, and then take him out for some wi-fi multiplayer action! Up to four players can compete via local wireless connection, making for extended replay value. Includes an extra stylus ("drumstick") so the player can practice some two-handed drumming.
