YesAsia Editorial Description

Sweet Princess Rainie Yang, the dream lover of male fans all over the globe, is back. The charming singer/actress, probably best known for her role in Meteor Garden alongside F4, returns to the music scene with her latest album Meeting Love.

Rainie's latest album includes 10 tracks that promise to keep music fans listening. "Celebration" (Track 6) is a daring tune with a touch of spring feel. As for "Oversensitive" (Track 10), it's an accomplished song about precocious girls who encounter their first heartbreaking experiences in love. The principal track Meeting Love (Track 3) is an easy-listening folk tune presented with up-tempo rhythm. "Cute" (Track 2) is a touching ballad about the desire to be loved, while "Sweet Curse" (Track 1) is performed in a vivid way and once again reveals Rainie's pursuit of the perfect romance.

This special version comes with an exclusive Rainie sticker album plus a set of unique stickers.

Abit of correction! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Sorry, just wanted to correct the mistake I made in my review below; I was meant to state that track 7 was too kiddish for my liking, NOT track 8! I really didn't enjoy track 6 and 7; I'm not really into kiddish songs. I really love track 8, it's not a kiddish song, it's a slow love song, with simple lyrics which are easily understood. The lyrics in the songs on this album are not very hard to understand, which is great because it can be understood by all ages, while some of the lyrics in her pevious album 'Ai Mei' were too complicated, younger listeners may not have understood. Which is another great thing about this album; many of the songs are slow love songs, but with lyrics that are easy to understand without making it sound kiddish.
Another thing is, cuteness has become Rainie's trademark now, either it being her acting cute, or singing kiddish songs; it's still part of her image now, so there are bound to be some poppy kiddish songs in her albums.

excellent!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Well, I had posted up a review for this album previously, but thought I'll post another one because my views on this album has certainly changed! When I posted up my review previously, I had only just started listening to the album, so I wasn't familiar with those songs, because my head was still full of her songs from her 'Ai Mei' album. But now I've been listening to these songs for quite a while and I must say that I'm totally into them! Now my head is full of songs from this album! I've even went out to buy the actual album! =D
I guess what the delimma about this is that people were all still used to the songs on Rainie's previous album, these songs were fairly new to our ears, so we may not enjoy them at first...but once you have listened to them for a while, you will gradually get use to these songs and most likely fall in love with them, I certainly did! I love most of the songs on this album, especially tracks 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 10 (which are most of the songs!). Who said Rainie's songs are too kiddish? Rubbish! There were only a few fast poppy songs on this album...but even the lyrics of those songs are NOT that kiddish! However I have to agree that track 8 really is just TOO kiddish for my liking. But all the other songs are great! I liked 'Ai Mei', but there were quite a few songs on that album which I did not thoroughly enjoy...while on this album, I love ALL the songs (except track 7 and 8)! So overall, I'll have to say that I love this album ALOT more than 'Ai Mei'!
I think Rainie's one of the BEST new singers from tw! u go girl! =D

Thoughts on "Meeting Love"... Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Well, I don't really know which of Rainie's CDs I prefer (and last time I got the version that didn't come with music videos). I must say, though, that I expected more growth than is shown on this CD. I wonder if the producers are trying to keep Rainie as an eternally young icon. Truth is, she is better than the material she's singing. I find her looks and her vocals to have far more maturity than the music and lyrics. I also admit to preferring her ballads. I think she really shines on them (and the music videos for tracks 2 and 10...DVD tracks 4 and 2 respectively...are stunning in their quality of Rainie's talent and her beauty). Her more hip-hop/juvenile songs (along with the inclusion of stickers and mouse pad...) seem totally geared toward a different market. For some reason, the mix of the two don't work well for my personal taste. For example: track 1 sounds dated, like old 80s music...track 2 is a lovely ballad that is probably one of my favorite songs on the CD...track 3 has some nice guitar, but is a bit R&B in it's mid-tempo style...track 4 is another gorgeous ballad with perhaps the most mature-sounding vocals of the entire CD...track 5 is a stunning piano ballad that really has you expecting more of this style on the CD...track 6 throws in some dissapointment with a beginning of lush slow strings, then bounces into juvenile hip-hop with a totally bland karaoke geared melody that doesn't catch...track 7 shows perhaps the weakest vocals and is also juvenile in nature, but it's got some unique features that I like...track 8 has really strong music (which is what I think her ability deserves) with a nice, mature sound and lovely singing...track 9 is like old 80s style dance music and is just awful in my opinion...track 10 closes the CD with a hypnotic ballad that thankfully has a music video on the DVD to showcase that Rainie is beautiful inside and out. Over-all, I only rated this an 8-out of-10 because I feel the music fell really short of expectations and what it could have been. Rainie herself gets a 10-out of-10 because she is talented and has such a fabulous presence. She seems unpretentious and naturally at ease with both a camera and a microphone. So, I guess my biggest concern for a future CD by her would be that her producers continue with the youthful approach (as opposed to following logic and letting her grow up). Rainie is so much better than what she's had to work with this far...and I wish her the best and feel she deserves the best. To date, I don't think the music is the best at all (with the exception of some truly stand-out tracks). To finish...I loved tracks 2, 4, 5, 8 and 10...I liked tracks 3 and 7...I hated tracks 1, 6, and 9. Even though her vocals are still going to be high-pitched (it's just her voice and it's quite good regardless of key), I'd like to see more grown-up and complex songs (and music videos...2 of the 4 were totally childish, but the other 2 showed she's spectacular at more meaningful grown-up songs and images) from her in the future. I hope she's allowed to do that. She has boundless potential.

kawaii Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
at first impression it does seem "ai mei" is better than this one, but now i actually like this album more than ai mei. ai mei has a lot of cutesy bubblegum pop songs but "meeting love" has both cute and mature songs. ke ai is actually a nice ballad along with the other tracks. and her concert is so great, especially with ken chu as her special guest! and now the second version fo her album is no 2 at the best seller list, soon it will be number one!

Just too nice Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I decided to give this CD a try after hearing the song "Meeting Love" of Rainie Yang. The mousepad just too beautiful, not to mention the cute stickers inside the package. For the music, I think Rainie sings well among the idols in the Chinese pop scene. My favorites are "Meeting Love", "Celebration" (great musical arrangement), "Allergy" and "Left Side".
