清乾隆年間，北京一座王公府第中，福晉的第四胎臨盆了，在尚無子嗣，和新妾得寵的威脅下，她用一個買來的男嬰，換走了甫出生的女兒，僅在肩上留下一朵小小的梅花烙痕，從此骨肉分離。男嬰皓禎長大成人，長得俊秀挺拔，允文允武，深得王爺的喜愛，更是整個王府的驕傲與希望。至於那真正的骨肉則被一位琴師拾獲收養，如今也已亭亭玉立，名叫吟霜，隨著父親行走江湖，賣唱為生。

This is a must see!!!!!!!I love this series so muchhhhh!!!! I borrowed it from one of my friends. and when i finished watching the first part, i already finished two tissue boxes. It is one of the saddest series i ever watched. It have a happy ending to part two though. I thought part one was better than part two though. If you watch it you'll cry too.

this drama will continously make you cry throughout the whole entire series. the music are beautifuly and the story is just soooo sad. the actors are wonderful and they make it seem so real. nothing beats true love no matter what happen. if they can't get eachother while they live then they shall follow eachother in death. it's beautiful!!! i strongly recommend it for those who enjoy a good tearjeaker drama.
