碩親王府的福晉雪如為了能在側福晉之前生下一個兒子，為了保住自己的地位，偷龍轉鳳，把自己的女兒送走，為了日後可以相認，雪如用王爺送他的梅花簪在女嬰的右肩上烙下了一個梅花印記。
換來的兒子皓禎帶給雪如的是幸福，是榮譽。十二歲時就和皇上一臣狩獵時活捉了一隻白狐，只割了一叢狐毛就放了它，這只通靈的白狐三回首後才離開。這件事一時傳為佳話。
皓禎帶著一文一武兩個心腹小寇子和阿克丹偷偷跑出王府去龍源樓喝茶聽曲，遇見了一個可憐的賣唱女吟霜，被她的清秀和聰慧打動了，在白老爹死後租了個四合院給吟霜住，又找了一個小丫頭香綺來陪伴吟霜。但他卻不能把吟霜接進王府去，因為皇上已經賜婚蘭公主給他做妻子，而他竟然新婚五天都沒有圓房。雪知道了兒子的心事，冒險把吟霜和香綺接進王府做了丫頭，不料卻被公主知道了，把吟霜討了去，日日折磨。一切都因吟霜有了身孕而改變，吟霜得到了全府人的承認，做了白姨太。這讓公主更加由妒生恨，設計摔倒吟霜，吟霜流產了，雪如看到了那個梅花烙印，二十一年前失去的女兒又回來了。
公主為了趕走吟霜，說她是九年前被放走的白狐變身，為了證明吟霜不是白狐現而是人，二十一年前偷龍轉鳳一事被翻了出來。這給碩親王府帶來了來滅頂之災，皓禎和王爺、福晉將被處以極刑。
吟霜認定了：“生相從，死相隨，午時鐘響，魂魄與你相會，天上人間，必時相聚”然而在她香魂歸去之時，公主向皇上求情特赦了碩親王府。等皓禎回來時已經太遲了。

This is a must see!!!!!!!I love this series so muchhhhh!!!! I borrowed it from one of my friends. and when i finished watching the first part, i already finished two tissue boxes. It is one of the saddest series i ever watched. It have a happy ending to part two though. I thought part one was better than part two though. If you watch it you'll cry too. |

this drama will continously make you cry throughout the whole entire series. the music are beautifuly and the story is just soooo sad. the actors are wonderful and they make it seem so real. nothing beats true love no matter what happen. if they can't get eachother while they live then they shall follow eachother in death. it's beautiful!!! i strongly recommend it for those who enjoy a good tearjeaker drama. |
