This is NOT a purchase to make lightly. The price is extraordinarily high for only 5 songs...and one of them is instrumental only. I only paid this much for this item because I wanted to HEAR the artist, and I cannot find anything other than her single "Namida no Umi" anywhere. Her voice is all I'd hoped...a high, clear soprano with real vitality. But the clips are just awful. I would not in good conscience be able to recommend this to ANYONE...especially at the price. The first video is pretty much her just standing around singing and progresses through what appear to be scenes from a movie she was in. The second is one I really liked: both the music and video footage are lovely. The song has some great guitar and the overall beat is catchy. The scenery is lovely and vibrant with colors. The third video is not good at all. Musically, it sounds a lot like a church hymn complete with a choir on the chorus and the footage is merely the singer standing in the dark in front of a carosel of too-bright gold lights. The fourth video is the second I liked. This mid-tempo catchy song is the best part, because she's still basically just standing. There are some nice floral special effects on this one though, and they make it an imaginative and youthful video. The fifth video is the instrumental song. LOVELY piano, but is beyong boring visually. She appears to be in some type of school uniform and just playing piano. Not at all what I had hoped. My suggestion to her fans is this: WAIT for her to release an audio CD. Not only will it be cheaper, but should have more than 4-5 songs on it. And until her videos are more stimulating and/or creative, I would just pass them by. |
