The whole package is really heavy, like 3kg or something.
It is, as the title suggests, a Yoo Chun photobook. Him, and him only. =) Sometimes it feels like you're seeing multiple frames of him from the same scene in the drama. Even if there's another person or a whole load of other people around, they are either cropped out or blurred (like in the background). Group photos are beyond rare.
It is not a bunch of Lee Sun Joon stills from the drama compiled into a photobook. More of how Yoo Chun was like behind the scenes.
At the end of the book, there's only one page of the Sungkyunkwan Scandal cast and another page of the drama's staff members. Both are just picture collages to briefly fit the "important" people in.
Personally, i think the photobook is more for Yoo Chun's fans or those who really love his character. People who want to see Song Joong Ki and Yoo Ah In will be disappointed.
The two mini spiral-bound photobooks are quite cute. Can see a different shot of Yoo Chun on your desk everyday. =)

December 15, 2010 To richelledom@...Well, it depends on the order date. If you had already placed an order when it was available and the item goes out-of-stock after that, YesAsia will still try to source it for you.
Sometimes YesAsia will ask if you want to cancel straightaway or wait for 5 more days for them to continue sourcing and then cancel the item from your order if they can't get it, or they may just say that it is totally unavailable.
From past experiences, I always chose the 5-day option since I am not in a hurry for the item. For a couple of times, they did manage to get the item. But if they REALLY can't get stock, they will inform you that your order/item has been automatically cancelled.
For the current order, YesAsia will not ask you to buy another item to substitute the unavailable one. The entire order/unavailable item will just be cancelled.
If you had paid by credit card, you will not be charged at all. Not too sure about other payment methods. I think they will either refund you or give you YesAsia credit for future purchases. Best to call them to enquire.

What @nghiem said is correct, but I would also like to point out something from personal experience.
Nothing is really confirmed until you have been informed that your order has definitely been shipped out. There have been a few times where some of my "Ready To Be Shipped" (last status before shipment) items suddenly became "Waiting For Stock" or "Processing". Then I was told that the item(s) became unavailable because it was either found to be damaged or out-of-stock/out-of-print.
To me, that doesn't make sense at all because how can the item just mysteriously become unavailable when it had been "Ready And In-Stock" earlier on. But unfortunately when that happens, there's nothing you can do except to feel upset and disappointed.
For refunds, it depends on your mode of payment. If you paid via credit card, you won't be charged since YesAsia only processes the transaction upon shipment.

October 15, 2010 Special Edition 101I got my special edition already.
Main set:
It comes in a big box that's 9.5 x 9.5 x 5 inches. It includes the CD, photo lyrics book and the photo cards set. The t-shirt and rolled poster comes separately. The box is in matt black with this embossed triangular design in metallic silver and the "JYJ" words in waxy red. "Jaejoong + Yuchun + Junsu +" and "The Beginning" are in black gloss.
CD:
It's placed on this hard cardboard that can be removed from the top.
Lyrics + Photo Book :
It has 32 pages, excluding the covers. More like a thin softcover book. It's 8 x 8 inches.
Photo Cards:
A set of 16 printed on thick glossy paper with a white border. 5 cards of each member and 1 group one. The pictures are the same as those in the photo lyrics book. Comes wrapped in a burgundy-red paper with a JYJ sticker seal. Size is 8 x 8 inches.
Unique Serial Number:
All the info is on a small white card that's attached to the back cover of the photo lyrics book. It kind of resembles a business card. On the left side is the pearl-coloured embossed JYJ logo with the words "Jaejoong + Yuchun + Junsu +" in grey. On the right side are the words "2010/10 1st Special Album" in grey and the serial number printed in black.
T-shirt:
It's white-based with a print of the trio's faces and the words "The Beginning" in red. It's supposed to be free size but it's more like a Korean men's cut 'L' size. Shoulders: 35 inches, Chest: 19.5 inches, Length: 26.5 inches. It comes in a foil vacuum pack.
Poster:
Here's where I got a little baffled. The posters for both the special and normal editions have the same picture design and dimensions. But the difference is the paper quality. On the printed surface, both versions look AND feel exactly the same. However, the special one is printed on soft paper and that is supposedly deemed "more luxurious". Really don't understand that logic. The normal one is "harder", thus more difficult to roll up. Any dent made would be more obvious but the thicker paper would make it less susceptible to creases. I would have preferred to get the normal one though because I personally like posters printed on thick paper. Plus, isn't thicker paper supposed to be better? The size is 30.5 x 20.5 inches.
All the dimensions given are approximate figures.
Just hope all that above info helps. =)

Version A - Collage of 26 pictures (red flower)
Version B - All 13 members standing on the yacht against the blue sky (grey flower)
Both posters have the same dimensions.
The poster, either folded or sent in tube, that comes with the photobook is version A. The other version is just for sale on its own.

Received it in excellent condition. Some may wonder about the high price of the item, but I feel that it's really worth it.
Photobooks with bright glossy prints on their covers have become all too common. The idea to use recycled paper for this simple cover was refreshing. Although it has more than 400 pages it looked like more,
due to the thick, good quality paper.
Pictures-wise, there was a balance of individual close-ups and group shots. Quite a few nice angles.
DVD :
It was in a sealed plastic slip and bound in between the last few postcards, kind of like how bonus DVD/CDs come in Japanese magazines. Just use a penknife and metal ruler to make a slit and you can still store it in the postcard book. Put some backing underneath if you're afraid of any accidental damage. Alternatively, you could always keep it in a jewel case like what I did.
The subtitles were okay. There were some spelling and grammatical errors but nothing major. As with all other Korean products, one really cannot expect it to have perfect English.
I actually found the random comments from the members more amusing than the SungMin-KyuHyun narration. You know you'll always be entertained when you have HeeChul and HanKyung together. And who knew that EunHyuk and RyeoWook could make another funny pair? Those who want to see SiWon and his chocolate abs will get their wish. 42min was way too short!
Poster :
It arrived separately with half the poster tube badly crushed. But kudos to YesAsia for their good customer service. They agreed to send me a replacement. I personally found the poster quite pretty so it would be a pity if it were to be folded. If you don't mind paying $10 more, I would really recommend getting the 'poster in tube' option.
This is definitely a (photo)book that you should not judge by its cover. =)

For pre-orders in Korea, there is the option of CD+poster or CD without poster.
If the item comes with a poster, YesAsia will definitely state it in the item's title and description, eg. CD Name ("poster pre-order version" or "poster in tube or "folded poster"). This is because rolled posters will be shipped separately and they need to inform the customer about it. But there is no mention of any poster being included. So there won't be one. You can always email their customer service to confirm it.
The random limited edition photocard is inside the CD box. This is for first press versions, irregardless of whether it's pre-order or not.

But I do know of the poster being included for pre-orders only in Korea. If other websites offer other bonus items, most likely those aren't officially-released items.

The 2 price listings that you see on each page are the original price (USD) and another currency for your own reference (which you can choose).
