Memento Mori is a good film, but I would warn you that this ultimate edition only has English subtitles for the first disc. So unless you can speak Korean, or just like to have special editions - stick with the Tartan release. |

Remember death? Forget this film.
Muddled and mediocre Korean supernatural soaper shows some technical and compositional finesse but is ruined by a nearly incoherent and unrewarding script (and one of the shrillest casts ever). Like some bastard child of an indie sapphic coming of age tale and a Sixth Sense style atmospheric horror flick, Memento Mori starts out on a promising note but soon falls apart to the point where a prop, an elaborate diary/scrapbook belonging to one of the films tragic heroines, is the most compelling thing on the screen. Die hard Asian genre fans may want to check it out but will likely be disappointed by its art house pretension, afterschool special melodrama and clumsily, sometimes laughably, executed chills. The story, told with the aid of frequent, and often confusing, flashbacks (its only similarity with the Christopher Nolan memory-noir Memento), focuses on one girls obsessive love for another and a third girl's discovery of the second girl's diary. After an eternity of pointless set up at the bizarre high school where the film takes place, the film still waits until the last few minutes to decide what direction to go in; it chooses horror and proceeds to waste everyones time again until the credits finally roll. Memento Mori is subpar as art house drama, school drama, lesbian romance, suspense film and horror movie. One can only assume its art house elements are what have led to its gaining a stateside release while dozens of far more effective Korean and Japanese genre efforts languish unreleased. |

A Sad and spooky film
I bought this film and i must say that I was very impressed...it was very psychological and very sad. It is a tale of love and loss and one trying to accept oneself when you go against the norm...i highly reccomend it |

too much hope
this movie was ok...its a very Artsy movie...in the middle of the movie it kinda pissed the crap out of me...it's too stretched, usually when i was a movie i don't need to bring my brain with me...this movie confused the crap out of me...if u want a fast pace movie, this won't be the one...but if u have lots of time on ur hands, u can consider using this movie to past time. |

Original Story
I thought this story was insightful and original. Some parts were pretty eerie but not overly scary. A few scenes were unbelieveable but it is interesting to see why the young girl committed suicide. I would say for the most part the movie was good. |

Remember the dead
Really cool movie. I like to think of it more as a tragic love story than a horror story...not really a good horror story if you are looking at it from that aspect. Surreal and a little eerie. |

New face of the actress
The method of the story delivery is special in this movie. They have added some new elements in the story introduction. Besides, the new face of the two actress preform excellent. |
